Ironically, I have not heard back from the ticket office about that yet either. Sure makes me glad I started to look into it early.

Stubhub is definitely the way to go.

Just wish HAF donor wasn’t a prerequisite for Iowa tix. Will just buy one from one of the NIU sections on StubHub.

It is a prerequisite to get first choice for Iowa tickets and TJ deadline is April 28. If donors don’t buy all of them, I’m sure they’ll be offered to the general public as single game tickets. Wait until late May and you probably may be able to buy them as non-donor.

If donors buy up all of the Iowa ticket allotment, well you can’t blame NIU for giving donors first choice.

This is exactly like election time. The calls are free-flowing until the election; then they magically stop. I am sure there will be no more phone calls from Athletics after next week.....until next year's season ticket/HAF renewals are due. This is that wonderful time of year when they wake up and realize that we exist.

Just got my 5th and 6th calls on Saturday's big Huskie "Bowl" and season tickets. Can't wait until the election is over! (At least they're doing some marketing.)

Hats off to MiamiHuskie: 1,500 miles from DeKalb and still orders season tickets. Nicely done! Renewed my 4 seats a few weeks ago. Don't plan to miss a home game and we're planning a trip to Utah to see the national parks the week leading up to the BYU game. Did the same before the Wyoming game two years ago and enjoyed San Diego State experience last year. NIU football = damn good time. Miami, if I can wiggle my way out of a business trip and get down to the FSU game, I'll buy you a beer if you plan to be there.

I do plan on being there and also plan on consuming alcoholic beverages to numb the sound of the NANANANANANANANA nonsense every 30 seconds. My daughter almost went to FSU but chose UCF instead, so now there's no conflict. She grew up as a Huskie and will always be one in her heart anyway.

I have a long fuse, but two things set me off:
Anything involving my kids, and smack talk about NIU football. We have to draw lines somewhere.

I've been buying season tickets for years to support the team. Alumni have to stand up while NIU is going through this tough period.

I still have family in the Oswego area, so I give them the tickets. They go to a few games, ad I try to make at least one game up there a year.

Were you at the USF game several years ago (the one where Hare got his leg broke)? I was there and some NIU tailgaters showed great hospitality.

Nope, couldn't make that one (kinda glad I missed it!). Same annual business trip that's currently getting in the way of this year's FSU game. Did make the Orange Bowl, though. College football experience of a lifetime!

100% with you on this: "I have a long fuse, but two things set me off--Anything involving my kids, and smack talk about NIU football. We have to draw lines somewhere."

Looking forward to meeting you sometime--maybe vs. FSU!

Same. Yes, you were fortunate to have missed the USF game. Terible from start to finish, and Hare's season was done.

The Orange Bowl was magical. I honestly thought we had a chance after the recovered onside kick.

It was there that I learned but d-bags FSU fans are. I came back to my truck in parking lot to find empty beer bottle al over it. Of course I have NIU stickers on the back.

Ugh, that’s awful. Biggest fear traveling to games has always been car vandalism.

I had a similar issue at the Orange Bowl. We parked next to a truck full of FSU fans. When we came back to the car after the game, all of their empty bottles were placed behind each of my 4 tires. I moved all of them back to their car. I really hope they drove over them!! D-bags for sure!!

RE: Football Season Tickets
Amazing. I've never had my car jeopardized, just my health a couple of times. My problem is I hate sitting in the corner of the end zone where the visiting team always gets stuck. Can't see half the game. So I always get seats between the 30s behind the Huskies' bench, which usually puts me and my wife in the middle of enemy territory. Sometimes you meet some great people and have a lot of fun with it, sometimes not so much so! 05-mafia

I prefer to sit in the middle of the opposition's student section. Interacting with those fine young lads and lassies makes life interesting. I never fall asleep, and they are always so cordial when I cheer for the Huskies. Of course, life was so much better when I had my male sex organ, but it's a small (so to speak) price to pay for having some fun and meeting life's challenges head on.
