Of course it’s a two for one. They tried to pull that crap on us.

Btw talk is we will start playing USA in the 19-20 season H & H. Just talk now but that is the scuttlebut.

EVERY Alabama FBS school should play the others H&H in revenue sports from time to time. It would, of course, offend the "fiefdom mentality" of some kingpins, but that is a small price to pay for the good of state sports over time. It is not a good cultural fact that 58-56 is still a lone score in 2018 - and for the immediate future.

I can understand the desire not to do a 2 for 1 with Auburn since we just had something like a 2 1/2 to 1 1/2(split at BJCC)

However I hope we are no longer so proud as to refuse all 2 for 1s with the big guys unfortunately its almost the only way to get good games/sell outs at Bartow. Our current staff may not even have the contacts for that.

Most major teams (not all) are shying away from the two for ones. That is the trend. Was reading that a while back and then HCRE also talked about that in one of the coach's shows. We see Auburn doing it but it is happening less and less.

Has anyone heard if UAB and Auburn plan to continue their series beyond the 2018 season?

I’ll take a two for one if it means we stop playing swac and community colleges

I have little doubt that AB will know more about this than I but I've been stalking these boards for a while and got the sense that Auburn was trying to discontinue it going forward, or tilt it more towards them. As an Auburn alum and UAB fan, I really want this series to keep going so I emailed everyone in Auburn's bball department. They seemed like they wanted to keep it going, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I’m fine if we sign up for the same four game deal again. It’s a good series for us, and as big a ******* as pearl is he was decent enough to give us a series.

We will always play those schools. Hopefully not as many as last year and one or none d2 programs. But we have played those type of games forever and scheduling is getting harder not easier.

South Alabama does not replace us.
Not much fan interest from Auburn side in USA.
I know USA does not bring a bunch of fans to Auburn.

This. Doubt he's doing anything more than just trying to play some games in Mobile.
Bruce knows he needs to be playing games in Birmingham. Given the less than stellar turnout for the Auburn vs. MTSU game in Bham, I think he's learning that it needs to be either Auburn @ UAB or Auburn vs. "name" team at BJCC to draw fans.

You do realize he originally wanted a two for one with our one home game being in BJCC with an equal split at the gate and it took a lot of negotiating to get what we got from him. It almost did not happen because of that. The deal they gave middle Tennessee Was their one home game was in Nashville.

I’ll be surprised if he agrees to anything equal or a true H&H with us again.

If he goes 4-0 I bet that'll make it easier

If auburn has a series with USA and doesn't have one with UAB, then yes they are replacing us.

It may be a blow to UAB fans egos, but to many Auburn fans there isn't much difference

We will start a H&H with USA possibly in 19-20 a little birdie told me.

Not holding my breath in an auburn rematch but it could happen. Problem is Pearl wants to give us the USA - MTSU treatment
