ECU, USF, Tulane, UCF, Temple, SMU and bad Memphis and UConn.
At one point during this season you asserted that the AAC's ceiling was a 6 seed. And yet, we earned a 2 seed, Wichita St. a 4 seed, and Houston a six seed.
There are reasons to be pessimistic. But right now, the conference isn't one of them.
And none made it past the 2nd round. Lol
C'mon - you know the chant. I'll spot you the 'O'
So we're supposed to be pessimistic because our conference was too highly seeded? If anything we should be encouraged by that. God forbid we're rewarded with a favorable path in March.

We were, and blew it when we failed to make a basket for 5 minutes.
FIFY
He can't make their shots for them, at the end of the day you have to be able to put the ball through the basket.

RE: Give me one reason to be optimistic about next year,
Your job as a coach is to put guys in a position to score, have the right guys on the floor et. al. He managed that game very poorly over the last quarter. There's a reason some coaches win in the post season, while others flounder. He's still figuring it out.

Just curious. Who should he have had in there that wasn't?

When we were up 22 and JC came up court a immediately jacked up an NBA range 3 his arse should have immediately been on the bench. That started the run.

And now there is the Penny in Memphis and UConn with a better coach. Can you imagine this conference with UConn, Memphis, Temple, UC, Wichita, and Houston playing at their historical best, or close to it? That's 5 or 6 bids in the NCAAT.

So... Cronin's an idiot and lost the game for not taking a guy after a shot up 22 with 11 minutes left.

My recollection as well; the beginning of the end as they say. Even at that point what seemed improbable became a tournament record setting reality.
Mick will deliver a solid regular season performance again next season against AAC competition. What happened in Nashville will not soon be forgotten. Fans believed it was Mick's best team--top ten ranked and built for a deep run. It further eroded fan confidence in his ability to navigate what has become, for UC, the rocky shores of the NCAA's first weekend. And next season, save some stellar transfers coming on board, is taking on the appearance of a major rebuild rather than a reload.

We were, and blew it when Mick had a meltdown.
Only 2 teams have made it past the 1st weekend since the AAC started. Uconn and UofL the first year of the conference.

Mick at the 7:00 mark...I guess its just the way he is, but I don't get this attitude he always has to carry around, I think it just presents itself wrong to alot people.
Oh well, honestly if we were in the final 4 I doubt I would give a sh*t.
