Cajun fans are none too happy with Tony Robicheaux. This probably doesn't help matters.

ULM is leading #5 Arkansas 9-8 in the top of the tenth with one out.

Now in the bottom of the tenth Warhawks leading 9-8.

Update: Tied up 9-9. Arkansas has the bases loaded with no outs. Well, it looked good for a while.....

We lost 10-9 in 10. Play again tomorrow.

Coastal lost to Clemson 6-1.

I was at the game last night and was very impressed with the Cajun fans in attendance. There were probably somewhere around 50-75 and they applauded great defensive plays for both teams as well as pitching changes. Classy bunch that represented their team well. They made it easy to want to cheer for them even more (but not until after our game against them tonight)

I'm sure there are fans among us unhappy with Robe; but those are in the minority. What MOST are unhappy with is the assistant coach in charge of hitting. Our hitting is at rock bottom under his tutelage. So the unhappiness with Robe in this case is his unwillingness to replace said coach. It would be a huge challenge to replace Robe as the program's leader. Class man who has brought great, positive leadership and visibility to UL. There will come a time, sooner than later simply due to age, that he is no longer leading this program. I can only hope we find a quality person to replace him when that time comes.

The hitting has declined every year since Deggs left. Robe is loyal to a fault. The time has com for him to do some in-house cleaning.
