It depends what you constitute as a blow out, but NIU was certainly not blown out by Ohio State, Boston College, or San Diego State. Again, the point being made is that NIU has remained competitive while playing six different quarterbacks against a handful of the nations best.

I also want to say, contrary to what you claim, I actually heard the reason he got suspended (from 1 player), but CHOSE not to share it as I did not want to share something I was not certain about and therefore would be considered slander.

However, Childress not being at winter activities is not slander as atleast 3 teammates confirm this and can easily be found out if it was true since he either was there or was not. Just find 1 out of 100 teammates or coaches and ask.

C'mon! Enquiring minds want to know!

Anyway, if it's Childers, then Graham, then Hall, and Graham isn't ready to play, I assume Hall will get a lot of reps. Wasn't he the one that made it into a competition last year? Hopefully he can build on that. Even if he can just come in for a few plays like Lynch did, that would be interesting, and give Childers a rest.

And what about Thompson? Is he out of the running?

I do not like the tone taken here as anything I have ever shared including the fact that Childers was not allowed to participate with team activities since the bowl game are not insinuations they are FACTS and FACTS shared to me directly from multiple teammates currently on the roster and who have no reason to lie !

The FACT Childers was taken off suspension and allowed to practice for the first time with the team on Tuesday does not take away the FACT that he was suspend all winter! It also does not discredit me or anything else I have and or might share in the future !

If the board would rather not hear anything that is going on that I get directly from the players on this team that's fine but I think the FACT that our starting QB was not aloud to be with the team all winter is an interesting FACT that I thought people would want to know about

Why would the originator wait until less than 24 hrs before 1st practice to mention rather than see if he indeed was at the 1st practice and then comment? As stated, "the whole winter" he wasn't there, yet no one said a word. But suddenly the specualtion mounted. It couldn't wait til next day since it was so important. And others jumped on board. You seem close enough to the situation to say your heard "he did something bad" and "coaches had no choice" That's great. But noT close enough to hear he was reinstated day before practice?

And for everyone else, that's fine. I prefer to actually read and post newspaper link made the day before practice where the coach mentions the subject player as being part of the QB competition. But hey, that's me. No one seemed to adress that, but likely no one read it. Guess I never learn my lesson to take things with a grain of salt.

Again, give the staff credit for keeping this issue (whatever it is/was) in-house. If I am reading the comment right, whatever took place happened before the bowl game. He was “suspended”, but from what? Off season team conditioning? Them reinstated as the clear #1 at the start of spring; basically no ramifications for whatever he was suspended for in the first place. Something doesn’t add up. Either there is nothing to the story (likely the case), or there was an issue and the staff did a masterful job of sweeping the issue under the rug. I think the program wants this to just go away.

This is not meant to be an insult, but clear you never been a part of sports at this level. You just offended basically every former player from every school from any D1 sport. Granted not like being held out of a game, but one day be it spring conditioning or practice is excruciating. To not have access to the team throughout the entire winter conditioning programs would have been devastating.

If that punishment didn’t straighten his head nothing would have.
