Ummm no. Unless a first team all conf QB emerges - App St., North TX, Rice (we barely escaped last year), La Tech, UAB, UTSA and Marshall are all tossups.

5-7 is possible...so is 9-3 though.

8-4 is probably the ceiling. 6-6 is probably the floor.

We have a returning good starting qb. Thats more than we had last year. We play another **** schedule. If he plays Griggs like he should, we should go 11-1- as long as the coaching staff doesn't dumb*** things up.

No sarcasm..I'm an eternal optimist. Oh yeah, we have a weak schedule. We should be looking to solidify a backup quarterback before the start of the season. This protects us if Griggs gets hurt. I feel like we lost at least 2 games (UAB and Tennessee) last year, because we couldn't recognize Griggs was the number 1 guy versus K.Howard.

You gotta believe Griggs will be better next your under the same Offensive Coordinator.
We need a 1000k yard back, but we can do this by committee.

Who's this 'good starting qb' you speak of? Because while Griggs was better than Howard last year, he was far from good. He threw up so many jump balls without looking, I thought he'd have five picks a game. Can he handle it? I guess. Do I hope someone like Jack Abraham comes in here and shows off? You better believe it.

Just the guy who had the best td to int ratio in the history of the program, while playing injured and with a banged up line most the year. Ill take those 2 ints a year over any qb on the roster. Jack will throw 2 his first game.

We lose Ito Smith, Korey Robertson, and the entire secondary. Still a question mark at QB. Griggs can win games, but his ceiling is low.

all I see is 8-4 at best....4-8 is hardly out of the question....

it's no different than the expectation relative to last year....

like any year, it's all going to hinge upon if a qb emerges, and the coaches design around that.....

on D, let's see....we have a new guy at the helm with quite a few question marks at varying positions on that side of the ball....

optimism is one thing.....so is realism....

Yep, pretty much sums it up. We'll win a couple in a row, folks will get overly optimistic, then we'll lose to someone we think we shouldn't and everyone will kick and scream. Same song and dance, just a different year.
