I'm sure we'll find out plenty of reasons why it happened today (some accurate, some not so accurate). The one thing I wonder about this morning is why was he in a hotel in Round Rock? He was definitely staying at the hotel although I haven't read yet how long he had been there. I still have to believe he was from the Austin area. The whole thing is even stranger if he has no connection to Austin whatsoever.

Glad they caught that POS! Even if it’s in pieces.

Apparently they caught the dude via surveillance footage and cell phone triangulation. Pretty cool. How do people that do this type of stuff think they will not be caught? Neither did the school shooter in Maryland. Because the SRO in Maryland did what the pansy ass in FLorida didnt do. School shootings will start to go down when the people planning the shooting figure they wont get a couple of shots off before being taken down.

It wasn't his objective, he only had a couple select targets (and himself). He didn't use an AR-15. It's great if the SRO wins the firefight but certainly not a given.
