Oooooops.
What?
I was speaking of Hartford, SD. You know...the state Wichita is from.
No OKC? 20k attendance isn’t enough for you?
The BOk holds 19,199 compared to Chesapeake's 18,203. Plus the media in Tulsa would make a big deal about it and love it, verses the OKC media and citizens who wouldn't care and just turn their noses up at the whole deal. Plus Tulsa's prettier and classier.
If you want it in Oklahoma Tulsa is the obvious choice.
And they have the best Lyft drivers in the country...

I want it in OKC because the Tulsa nursing home shuttles probably don’t leave the city limits.

UCF doesn't support basketball enough to have it in an NBA arena in downtown Orlando. That's not a knock on UCF. I'd say the exact same thing about UH.

You should have said you can't vote for your own team, lol.
1) Like that ever stopped certain fan-bases from voting for their own team...
2) What if you think that "your team" really is going to win the tournament?
1. Well, at least with a public vote, you can see them.
2. No perfect solution, but at least it stops the homer votes, and then you can see what others think. Most fans of course are going to pick themselves if they are decent. In our case, the top 3, at least.
3. I was halfway joking.

RE: who is gonna win the AAC tourney?
Here's where I'd consider;
1) Memphis- Fed Ex Forum. Downtown. Beale Street. Somewhat central but close enough to some of the better fan bases. Airport is decent sized.
2) DFW- SMU, Tulsa, UH, and Wichita are easy drives. Massive airport serving DFW and major Southwest hub at Love Field. I'd prefer Dallas over Fort Worth though. More to do if "cowboy" isn't your thing.
3) New Orleans- It would be a slam dunk if Tulane fans could turn out more than 2,000 fans. People love to party there and the arena is 2 minutes from the Quarter. Tons of hotels and a decent sized airport.

New Orleans is the only city in our conference that's truly a destination city. Orlando could be included if you're 10 years old or have a 10 year old. I'm a grown ass man and I love New Orleans. That could become a conference defining location and help to bolster a budding Tulane program. We'd never have to worry about Tulane dominating the attendance either as their fanbase isn't massive.
Having it in Memphis is bad because Memphis is a big school with a healthy fanbase. The only place less fair than Memphis would be within 250 miles of Wichita. We would absolutely take the place over.

Orlando is a destination city for adults too but mainly limited to hotel banquet rooms for quarterly sales meetings.

I disagree on your Memphis assessment...
Memphis is 9hrs or less driving distance for 6 or 7 AAC schools...Cincy, UH, SMU, WSU, Tulsa, Tulane AND you get the Memphis crowd.
The games would be much better attended on the whole in Memphis.
Plus, Memphis is a great town with awesome bbq and Biel St.
It should be in Memphis annually.

You missed my entire point. We don't want the Memphis crowd, just like you wouldn't want the Wichita crowd which would outnumber the Memphis crowd 19 out of 20 years if the tournament was within 3 hours of our city. It needs to be in a central location but also not too close to a strong fanbase. New Orleans is centrally located but south and it's in the best city for tourism.
