RE: Where were you 7 years ago?
Thanks Coach
Despite what happens this week in Frisco, the monarch fan base will enjoy seeing ODU win a conference tourney.

It’s like thinking of an ex in the shower

I miss the “real thing”

Stormed the court, got married courthouse style the next day. A week later, Butler ripped my heart out and VCU would spend the duration of March stepping on it.

I was there and we had seats in the club section. The VCU guy with the rams ears (I've blocked his name from my mind but I'll never forget that awful dirty shirt) had seats in front of us and kept blocking our view of the game with his whiteboard. Of course, the ushers wouldn't do anything about it. But we got our sweet revenge when the mighty Monarchs prevailed!

This guy?

If he was sitting in front of you, the whiteboard should have been the least thing blocking your view.

I was in the student section with my wife (gf at the time) and two of my best friends (both JMU alums who rooted for the Narchs all weekend). Great times.

That was the one tournament I wasnt in Richmond for since 2000. I was on a cruise ship in the Carribean that year for spring break with a bunch of Hokies. Sat in the sports bar by myself getting hammered and after we won I busted back into the formal dining rm in my ODU jersey and had to go tell my roommate while he was at dinner with everyone looking spiffy!

You didn't have any fun at any of the games this year?

My post was neither inflammatory or against the AUP. I asked a simple question based on your post. A simple yes or no will do.

Ooooo. Touchy aren't we.

Well yes of course winning is always a good thing. But fun requires more. Beating JMU was fun because I have a neighbor with children there. Beating VCU was fun because a neighbor is an alum. Beating W&M was fun for the same reasons although we haven't done that recently. Et cetera et cetera. Beating our current conference mates, and I use that term loosely, is just winning. I do not now nor have I ever known 1 soul in this world who attended any of the other 13 C-USA schools or any spawn who have either. In a perfect world I would at this moment be at the tournament but since the powers that be have decided to hold it somewhere close to the dark side of the moon I am wasting my time instead communicating with you. I do consider having to stay home and listen to Ted fun.

I know someone that went to Rice! One time I posted a picture of the final scoreboard on her Facebook page. That was fun, but the lack of her giving a crap about Rice basketball kind of took the wind out of my sails.

Huh. You can't see the irony that you are the one with the touchy responses? Interesting.

And going to games and watching this team isn't fun to you? Only beating a neighbor's alma mater is fun to you? It's no wonder why you are miserable, that much is clear now. I can't fathom how someone can attend our games and not consider them fun, but to each their own.

I know someone that went to Rice!

I have a brother who now lives in Boca Raton. Does that count?

Apparently you have no friends with whom you can haggle over next Saturdays game. My team is better. My players are better. Or friends you can joust with over the result of last Saturdays game. You see now that is fun and non-existent in our current situation. But keep going with the "miserable' narrative. It makes me laugh. Now that's fun!

I don't know anyone that played for Dallas. But I know plenty of Redskins fans that hate them still.

But I do understand your qualm with the state of things. The local rivalries we had in the CAA were fun. Those days are dead.
