im pulling for a 4th team...
no one remembers seed.. they remember how many teams you put in..
i want it to either ucf or temple..they return most of the key players, would be huge momentum into next year
or smu, it would keep their brand a top tier, which has been a good holdover since uconn and memphis went dwn...also i think they would do the most damage, shake would be back by the ncaa tourney

If Tulsa wins, I will personally tear down the gazebo and build a double-wide gazebo (two gazebos attached) for all of our future home games!
It's gonna get krazy!!!

a fourth team (Temple, Memphis, UCF, etc.) to win it giving the conference a 4th NCAA team, but most likely at the expense of seed lines for a team or two?
Thoughts and why?
Im of the thought, UC, WSU, or UH win, both go as far as possible and all three secure the best seed line as possible.
Then we three are in the big dance with the best chance to advance.
Better to have two teams in the elite 8 and 1 team in the S16 vs four teams out in the second round, or three teams out in the second round and 1 team make the S16 for instance.
The Eagles have a better chance of winning the Super Bowl, than Temple winning the tourney.
Oh wait....... never mind

Does Cincy>Wichita State give Cincy a chance at the final #1?
Does Wichita>Cincy give WSU a chance at the final #2?
Does Houston>WSU&&Cincy give Houston a chance at the final #4?
Do Tulsa/UCF/Memphis/SMU actually have a chance at winning a game in the tournament?
I'm afraid Temple is the only #4 that might win a game. Sadly not worth keeping Dunphy around.

RE: AAC Tourney: Do we want...
I don't think that a win over Wichita gets us to the 1 line. We probably actually need to make the finals to solidify our 2 seed, however. My guess is that WSU is a win over Houston away from a 3 seed, and beating UC in the final probably wouldn't get them to a 2. Houston would definitely be a 4 with wins over WSU and UC.
Tulsa has a great chance of beating USF in the 2nd round. Given SMU's injuries, UConn likely rolls them, particularly given that the team and their fans will be rallying around Ollie.

Tulsa played respectable games against a #2 and a #4 seed (Cincy and WSU) and beat a ~ 10 seed in K-State. I think we could have a shot to win a first round game.

Are all session tickets actually going for $30? $9 to see wichita/cincy round 3... That's a steal
And a sign of a poor choice of location for a conference tournament.
Get lost. 80 degrees and sunny all weekend. Downtown orlando nightlife is great or if you're bringing family disney is 20 minutes away. If you're not coming here you'd find an excuse not to go elsewhere as well

Sorry. I didn't mean poor choice. I meant awful. Play the tournament in a city like Philly or Memphis, where people care about basketball and the best food and drink aren't found in a mall.

The magic have a much higher attendance than the grizz. And memphis beat us by like 1k per game this year...

RE: AAC Tourney: Do we want...
I'd lean more towards an upset in the AAC tournament and have 4 teams in the NCAA tournament. We'd have as many bids as the Big 10 & Pac 12 are projected to have. That would go a longer way than having 3 in with Cincy & Wichita having a 2 seed instead of a 3.
Gonzaga has done very well and was close to winning it all last year. But that doesn't mean that the WCC is considered one of the top conferences in the country. To me, as a league you want as many teams in the tournament as possible. To me, that's how you gain prestige as a conference.
