But the beauty of it all is, since this is a stand alone thread, those that don't like it, don't even have to open it. See how that works? Don't even need the fashion police.

I heard that TV Teddy gave Keatts another tech last night. I really dislike Valentine. He was awful in the home game against Charleston last year too, and gave Keatts a technical in that game too.

Fun while it lasted guys.

Naw, we can go back to reminiscing, i would have made my comment on the other thread, but our fearless leader closed it.

Nobody is stopping you from going to the Bird Droppings forum and creating a thread on the topic. lol

Fearless. Nailed it.

RE: Update - Former UNCW coaches and players
Congrats to Brad Brownell and Clemson, and Kevin Keatts and NCSU as they finish tied for third in the ACC this year. Tiebreakers will have Clemson as the 4 seed and NCSU as the five seed in the ACC tournament, with UNC as the 6 seed.

Clemson will await the winner of the NCSU vs GT/BC winner, so we may see Brownell and Keatts face off in the 2nd. round Thursday at 2:00.

As bad as the last 33 seconds were it was the same old story with a Keatts team. No defense on the half court at all. If you give up 91 to BC you should lose and they got what they earned. NCSU was just not ready to play this game on either end. The coaches also did a bad job telling the players about the time out situation-pitiful. State will get in the NCAA but I would not be surprised to see them lose in the first round.

They were efficient on offense, but last week he proclaimed "nc state stuff" was over. Last 33 seconds didn't exactly support that claim.

Looked a whole lot like NC State stuff to me. Horrible coaching IMO. Open mouth get served humble pie.

And they still exceeded expectations.

For the season? Sure they did! But, that was an egg against an inferior opponent in their first tournament game. And, to the point, the first game after they (Keatts specifically) pounded their chest a little. I have no problem with it, but you have to admit it's a little humorous. Keatts is a good coach!

Now, some are saying they need to hope there aren't many upset, auto-bids this week, but I don't buy that. Their RPI is 53rd and they have impressive wins. It will be interesting to see how the committee places them, but I think they're getting less respect than they deserve and should be safely in.

I'm glad we have an insider who was in the huddle and knows the coaches didn't tell them about the fact they were out of TO's. Tell us more you know about?

How about having a smaller guy take the ball out of bounds? Good move too? He really can do no wrong with you can he? Today he clearly F’ed up to anyone who has ever watched a game in their life. So he gets credit when they play well and over achieve, but when they clearly mess up it’s on the players? Got it. He messed up today#ownit

What are you babbling about? I was addressing TO's SPECIFICALLY. Do you have insider info that the coaches didn't tell the players they were out of TO's? I had to listen to the game on the radio, so I have no idea who was inbounding the ball or why it was turned over. So, it's hard for me to say whether I thought something could have been done differently. Since it went wrong, it's pretty easy to say something else should have been done.

Oddly enough, I don't hear any talk about the coaching involved to get a team back in it after being down 17 in the 2nd. half. When the big men couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Or about hitting 70% + in the 2nd. half to get back in it. Guess that doesn't matter in the HeManKeattsHatingClub, does it?

Wow! I'm sorry but all I see is blind hate oozing out. Who blamed the players? Nobody knows what was said in the huddle. But it's not the head coach's job to keep up with the timeouts. That's the job of an assistant coach. But hammering a first year coach who hasn't had time to implement his system with his players is rediculous. So many couch coaches, so little coaching jobs.

I coach from the sidelines too. There is no doubt he’s done a good job there this year, but 82 likes to pound his chestt when they do well he needs to man up when they don’t. And if you come out and basically talk $hit in the media like he did, then you deserve the $hit that comes at you when you choke against a lesser team

RE: Update - Former UNCW coaches and players
Who would've guessed that Keatts would be sol polarizing to our fan base less than a year after his departure? "Hammering a first year coach who hasn't had time to implement his system with his players is ridiculous...." Man, I wonder if there are any other situations where this applies? I'll sleep on it and get back to the board.
