No. 1, it doesn't matter what I think, you think, etc. My point is that assuming they are good enough to start on other MAC teams, then clearly this staff is not utilizing the talent. To have a coaching staff seven years in and still not be able to get above .500 in the MAC would not be tolerated anyplace but here.
No. 2, playing your hypothetical game, who knows. Would the coach at -- pick a school: MU, WMU, OU, UT, BG, etc. -- add German to his line-up? Or course. Would that coach add German and Bradley? Probably. Would one of those coaches opt to start all three ahead of players he recruited, has worked with and are part of his system? Those odds go down.
No. 3, following your hypothetical, all three are magically now starters at another MAC school --- Does that school do better than .500? If so, another indictment of NIU's program having simply gone from Patton pathetic to Monty mediocrity.
IF not for NIU's financial situation and Frazier's lack of courage, the Huskies will be doing something I don't believe has been allowed to happen at any other Division I men's basketball program. Stay the course for eight years to get above .500 in the conference? Seriously?
