No way to prove it, but ODU looked pretty spent energy-wise at the
end of the game Thursday night. Could explain what’s happening in Bowling Green.
Since finding out WKU and Marshall are travel partners,

Yeah it’s easy to blame others but this is clearly on the team and that asshat jones.

2 short days ago our fans were happy. Now our boards will be insufferable till the tournament. If a fan tries to highlight a positive they'll be frowned out with how you aren't a real fan and accept mediocrity and mist love Jones. Pop on by if you enjoy fans eating their own.

Yup. It started 5 minutes into the game. Western Kentucky would have beat anyone in our conference tonight and most teams in the country. I almost starting rooting for them they were playing such good basketball. Tourneys in Texas though so we'll see what happens.

With MT/WKU next week pretty much playing for first place I'm trying to decide who to root for. I think I'd like MT to stay #1, meet WKU for a third time in the semis and MT in the finals but either way it's a steep climb.

Seems like I remember when WKU played a game like that against Marshall earlier this year that ODU fans had a field day making fun of us. We tried to say that WKU played perfect and their perfect is better than everybody else's perfect in this conference.

We were making fun of the defensive prowess claims you were making at the time because they hung 115 on you.

I saw most of the second half of that game and new what they were about.

To the OPs point though yeah I imagine it did have some effect. Porter hit the floor pretty hard quite a few times on Thursday, can't imagine not being a little sore and stiff two days later. I'm almost 39 though and mostly forget what it feels like to be 22. Not to mention I've never in my life been in the kind of shape these young men are in so likely probably some but not the deciding factor. Certainly not in this game at least.

It sucks because they could very possibly get 4th place by playing in the West where you play Rice (x2), UTEP (x2), LA Tech (x2), Southern Miss (x2). Yes, we should have won, but both Marshall and WKU play a very tough conference schedule are both deserving of a top 4 spot with both ODU and MTSU.

No. ODU is locked into the three seed barring a meltdown against the FL schools. If MT and WKU are tied in standings and split their head to head the next tiebreaker is record against next highest seed which is (likely) ODU. 2-0 Beats 1-0 so Western would be the one seed.

Edit: actually we can finish no worse than 3rd even if we lose both games.
