Pretty good for a bubble team with limited players due to severe NCAA scholarship restrictions.

BTW that team is Syracuse...apparently UNC doesn't get penalized.

UNC at Cuse 7pm ESPN

Take Cuse and the points.

Home dogs have been pretty good ATS in conference play.

So SMU and Syracuse get smacked with massive scholarship reductions and other schools complain about having to vacate wins.

Yeah we self reported and had a basketball staffer help a few guys with term papers that Syracuse University must actually grade them with real grades...this is obviously much worse than 20+ years of sham courses.

Yep, we also self reported. SMU and Syracuse need better legal counsel

You mean like Ohio State, Penn State, and Louisville?

They're pretty indiscriminate.

I wouldn't say indiscriminate, more like obfuscated. I'm sure there is a reason for who gets punished and who gets off, but we may never know it.

Eh, it's just a Syracuse fan acting like their coach. Whine, whine, whine.

Syracuse hoops - regardless of what the NCAA did or didn't do with UNC - they deserved their penalties.

Yeah Penn State got hammered 03-lmfao

Ohio State? 03-lmfao

Louisville got hammered...give you that.

IMHO...private schools seem to get harsher penalities...that is what I'm saying.

To answer your question: no. I've never said that PSU football didn't deserve their NCAA penalties.

Likewise, Syracuse basketball deserves their penalties. I'll give Syracuse basketball fans the same advice many folk gave to PSU football fans: deal with it and don't whine about it.

Gotta be some sort of pecking order of power, money and connections

Penn State got off easy...if any program should have received more...it was PSU. What SMU did was bad but nothing like PSU. SMU got F'd...PSU didn't.

Maybe so, but that's a bit of a tangent. Isn't this thread about Syracuse?

Syracuse basketball deserved to be punished. The NCAA didn't penalize because Syracuse is a private school. They penalized because Syracuse deserved their penalties.

They deserved to be penalized...the penalty was too severe for the infractions and the 8 years of living under the NCAA microscope. IMHO
