Lee should never have been in the same scoring conversation as the other two. He was a very good high school player, but i never expected him to score anywhere near 20 points a game at the college level. Too many people saw his star ranking and expected the world.

LOL, somebody applied the wrong conversion rate to Andy's points in that first card.

No doubt. Kennedy and Vaden have/had games similar to one another. Great shooters, not much defense. Haha has a different skillset.

Yeah...he would have had to average 31.57 points a game to reach those numbers.

13 seasons as a head coach. 2 NCAA appearances.

.509 conference record.

This year was by far his worst...4-10.

By comparison Mike Davis was 4 of 6 years to the ncaa when he came to UAB with a .573 conference record.

Its hard to argue AK had a better record than Davis.

Little easier to recruit to Indiana than it is to Ole Miss.

William Lee is back to back Defensive Player of the Year in CUSA.
He helped us win an NCAA tourney game.
He is the all time Blocks leader in UAB history!
That is more than Vaden and many others.
If only he was healthy all four years!

I don't remember the player's name, but Andy had a prima donna player who presented PR problems for the program while he lasted. Has the program had as good a player since then? In basketball, he was sort of like "Johnny Football" at Texas A&M. A problem player worth the effort to keep him eligible.

Marshall Henderson. Caught buying marijuana with counterfeit money, separate cocaine charge, plus parole violation. Never disciplined by Mississippi. Ended up playing in the Iraqi league. Yes, really.

The look on the security guy's face is priceless.

I wasn’t arguing who was a better player. I was simply stating Lee was not ever the prolific scorer those other two were, especially based off high school stats.

There was an article on ESPN or somewhere else where they broke down that image.

Pretty sure he won't win that this year. The unknown guy from Marshall is just killing it in blocks.

Guy barely played last year and this year is averaging 4.6 blocks per game.

He cant miss for the award this year.

6-9 white guy. "eye-DEEN PEN-uh-vuh" .

AK took over a team that had four straight losing seasons. He won 21 games his first year and had 11 straight winning seasons. Mike Davis took over a team that had been to 15 straight NCAA tournaments and had 29 straight winning seasons. In his forth year he had a losing season. At UAB he took a team that had been to three straight NCAA tournaments to a losing season in his first year.

I believe the first streak ruined by Mike Davis was at Indiana. The UAB streak was three straight, and after inheriting a team with PD3, Frank Holmes, Kinnard and Wen Mukoooobooooooo Davis immediately racked up a losing season. Of course, that was because none of those guys knew anything about basketball, and the best player in the conference was sitting out as a transfer so the year was meaningless anyway.

Those guys did not fit his system and he wouldn’t adapt. We were doomed from day 1.

I also remember him saying he would play more uptempo.

Glad is talking about Davis's record at Indiana. Uabnegativefan was comparing Davis at Indiana with Kennedy at Ole amiss. Why? I have no idea.
