Yep. Several games recently where the Owls have had a lead on a decent team in the 2H only to not know how to or have the ability to close it out.

I hope they address the conditioning program during the offseason. Marshall played 3 guys the entire 2nd half but they had the fresher legs down the stretch.

Nice game by Osborne (and Cashaw). Elmore is a very nice player for Marshall (and he wasn't even their leading scorer). I still have my doubts he's an NBA talent though.

Meanwhile, UH beats 5th ranked Cincinnati.

He's still getting over a back injury. He also got banged up tonight (maybe a groin deal?). Both he and Cashaw were banged up a bit in the physical 2nd half.

Malik suffered from muscle cramps several times during the second half. Got some fluids and a massage, went back in but appeared to be less than 100%

Watching the video feed, it seemed like Cashaw and Osborne were most engaged in the flow of the game and successful shooting. The turning point seemed with about 8:12 left and Rice up 75-70. Cashaw committed his 3rd foul and was taken out. Marshall made the two FTs, and the Owls suddenly played sloppy ball. Marshall sunk a 3 and a breakaway layup to take a 2-point lead.

Cashaw came back in at about the 7-minute mark, but we'd lost the flow. After a Rice throw-away turnover, Marshall's center got a layup for a 4-point lead (75-79) and were off on their game-ending run. Sigh.
