I have a hard time putting Kansas as 3 still because how they have looked, but their computer numbers are still legit and their overall body if work is still nice.

1: Virginia, Nova, Xavier, Mich. ST.

2: Purdue, Auburn, Ohio State, TT

3: UC, Clemson, Duke, Kansas

4: Rhode Island, Tennessee, Gonzaga, North Carolina
No way in hell TO$U or Auburn in front of us

We shall see at 1230. This is what my gut tells me.

Your skepticism is well-understood. However, I'm glad you were wrong on this one :)
2/3? I'll take it over being 1/3 all day every day. nice try though

Committee has always had an rpi focus. No surprise. Kenpom is great for talk about how good teams are but committee used own criteria. Used to be rpi top 50, 100 wins... now it-s quad 1 quad 2 wins

So basically we can ignore Kenpom and just concentrate on RPI and Sagarin?

Looked up ticket prices if we made it to Atlanta, I'll pass on that game. I can drive to Orlando for weekend to see championship games of AAC for half price.

Sagarin is no different. I really only look at kenpom or sagarin when evaluating resumes as a bonus for teams when there is an enormous discrepancy. When you're seeding teams it's about record v quadrant 1 and 2 teams. (Used to be rpi top 50 and 100 teams). But if you're actually trying to talk about how good a team is sagarin and kenpom both very relevant.

If we run table or only lose 1 rest of way, are we top #1 seed?

Lack of signature wins. Committee views 1 seeds differently than other seeds. Want to see a couple elite wins.

No. If we run the table i think we can be a 1 ( depending on what happens with everyone else).. If we lose 1 we're a 2 with an outside shot at a 1 if things get crazy.

RE: Bracketology
The committee ignoring predictive metrics continues to be my biggest complaint. By kenpom the Midwest would have by far the weakest 1, the 2nd weakest 2, the weakest 3 and the weakest 4. Kenpom 13, 9, 15 and 28. I like valuing wins, but they are too often slaves to team sheets

Nice how we get NKU in the first round. It is always about the match up and Money.

RE: Bracketology
What happens if we drop 3 games during this last month? Home against WSU is a toss up for me. Playing them in the road is going to be rough and we still have at SMU , at Houston, and the usual wtf loss that shouldn't happen. Can we avoid the wtf loss that seems to happen every year?

Depending what ends up happening, the seed number really isn't as a big of a deal to me as the match ups and location are.

I could be wrong, but I think UL would be a decent match up for us.

RE: Bracketology
The NCAA Selection Committee has us penned as a 2-seed in the South Region at this moment. Virginia would be the 1 Seed in that region.

Xavier is penned in as the 1 Seed in the Midwest...

But we've all been told that it's all happenstance...
the committee doesn't set up story lines...
it's just how the S curve falls.

And I have a bridge to sell in Brooklyn.
