I don’t see how you were impressed with the Falcons. They looked just like the Mike Smith led Birds, moving the ball between the 20’s but unable to punch it in the End Zone.

Rams are good on D, though. They just gave the game away with turnovers and failed to make effective adjustments to the Falcons keying on Gurley. ATL might fare better offensively vs. the Eagles.

The Rams had been putting down some offense all year and the Falcons held them to 13. That is looking good to me.

Shula gone from Carolina. I got to say that form the high of the offensive performance in 2015 to the crap show of 2016 and the questionable play calling in 2017 it might just have been time.

Falcons were unable to punch it in for a TD on the 1 yard line against the Eagles on Saturday. They didn’t even try running because they the O-Line was pushed off the block all afternoon.

Jags seal the deal on the Steelers... Honestly, yeah, the Steelers are probably the better team but with all the issues that team has had on the sidelines and the players and the players with the coaches(or their comments and actions gave off that vibe) I am not surprised that the Jags went up there and beat them again. Jags blew up on offense and they had the belief from their prior win they could do it and they did it.

The Vikings did everything possible to give that game away, They needed a pretty sizable miracle to win a game they should have won by taking a knee.

Tragically, no one could be found to administer the Heimlich Maneuver on the Jaguars this afternoon...

You could see the Patriots coming back a mile away, the Jags had a classic play-not-to-lose strategy and it bit them once their D ran out of gas. I didn't see that many bad calls (some non-calls for the Pats), but honestly you've gotta expect that from the NFL. They'd do whatever it takes to make sure Brady made it again if the alternative was Bortles and the Jags, who probably have the smallest fan base in the entire league.

The Falcons choked. The Jags I felt gave it their best effort. They are just way too limited offensively to have put this game out of reach. 20 points just isn’t going to get the job done against Brady. To expect even a their top ranked defense to hold the GOAT down is way too big of an ask.

RE: 2017-18 NFL Thread
The turning point was when they didn't get a score on that drive near the two minute warning when they were up 14-3 and could have been up 17-3, if not 21-3 at the half. Maybe Gronk doesn't get sidelined but instead of being up at least two possesions, they were only up half a possession at intermission.

Brady certainly would have had a response but it would have been way more daunting.

Come on, that wasn't a choke, the Patriots were the better team. Brady has been doing that for ages, especially against inferior teams. The Jags probably should have won but it at any point was never a given. This wasn't Patriots-Falcons in the Super Bowl.

The Jags were leading 20-10 in the 4th quarter and had the ball after recovering a Patriots fumble. The Jags' last 4 possessions: Punt, punt, punt, turnover on downs. Two three-and-outs and only one first down on each of the other two drives.

Is it me or is the entire thread hoping the Eagles to shock Vegas' betting odds?

They probably should have won, as I said. They didn't choke.

10 minutes, give or take, is plenty of time to come back, especially at home and especially with Tom Brady.
