Keatts plays an exciting brand of basketball and the fans were fired up. If you can't acknowledge that you've got a problem.

What are you talking about? I said that it was an impressive win. I absolutely understand the enthusiasm for Keatts in Raleigh. I can simultaneously objectively talk about the hot mess that the last 2:00 minutes were. Are you always this defensive?

Hmmmm I wonder what would happen if I talked about a bad uncw coaching stretch in a game.......

I didn't "talk bad" about him. I objected to the description of his last TO, taking off his coat and waiving his arms as masterful and ingenious. In truth, I respect Keatts much more than to celebrate such simple measures.

You guys are arguing for the sake of arguing now. They had a 12 point lead with 1:55 left and fouled a three point shooter with an opportunity to tie the game with .2 on the clock, and you're arguing with me because I objected to it being called masterful.

It was a great win, as I've said. This is the first post on the reaction thread at Pack Pride. Decide for yourself if this guy "has a problem" too, "Glad we held on, almost an epic collapse. On our last inbound, with only 1.3 seconds left why not just throw it to the other end of the court? Who cares if they get it? By the time they gather the ball time will be out and they wouldn't be able to get a shot up anyway with all their momentum going the other way. I've seen this situation come up before and we didn't do it, seems like the smartest play to me in that situation."

I agree that he will play some but the reason is he plays defense. At the ACC level pretty much all the players can score at his size. Keatts has a job and that is to recruit past whoever is on the team right and that includes CJ. He is a nice player but in the ACC I don't him as a difference making type guy. I wish the kid well but Keatts should have taken the high road on this deal.

The high road? This is big time big boy college hoops.KK is a loyal man..CJ helped him get where hes at..If hes leaving UNCW anyway and he had an open spot, I see nothing wrong with fiving Bryce an opportunity to better himself also.

if KK was loyal, he would have been hands off and had more respect for the school that gave him his shot. I really think it's naive thinking to think that KK wasn't actively recruiting him and was a big reason why CJ wanted to leave.

And I hope people aren't so naive to think he didn't try and take more than just one of our best players. As a matter of fact, I bet someone from that staff is actively recruiting Devonte as we speak.

Keatts is a salesman like most coaches that reach the level he is at and he has some people snowed in this area. They actually think he is grateful for the chance that UNCW gave him and that he is just doing what all coaches do.
I would be shocked if they have not been talking with Cacok about NCSU and playing big boy basketball.

Agreed and he would be making a huge mistake if that happened. He is at the perfect place to get better and have a shot at the NBA. I see him improving every time I see him play, beast.

You're clueless and talking with zero information or knowledge about the man. He was grateful, he is doing what every coach does, and nobody is snowed about anything...except you.

As Alex Riley said in his podcast, "Kevin cares about Kevin."

I suggest you listen to the latest Beat and the Beard podcast in regards to what Alex Riley said about Keatts. Not that flattering.

Keatts IMO is slimy. He learned from the best in Pitino.

I think 82Hawk spoke with Keatts a few times and Keatts blew smoke up his ass by saying the right things that a fan wants to hear.
