Rhoades coaching them up!!! Guy is a bum. I have never understood everyone’s infatuation with Rhoades. Obviously Jeff isn’t much better, but you would be in the same spot you’re in now...maybe worse.

We really sound kind of petty and bitter. Hell, one of our posters said that he would be fine with being #75 every year if VCU was #150. **** that. VCU's ranking is no consolation for us not being as good as we possibly can, and it is just petty nonsense to say you would settle for your team's mediocrity if it meant another team sucked.

Good lord, use some common sense. Beating them and having inferior team < losing to them and having a superior team.

FWIW, 75 is not where I want ODU to be. But, it is a good season (so far) for us based on our last 25+ years. If we finish 75th, I believe it would be only the 6th time since 2002. 05, 06, 07, 10, 11, 15.

How many ODU posters would be calling for Rhoades head halfway into his first year?

Their vitriol should be aimed at Will Wade.

There were also a lot of people saying Rhoades was a better option than Jones, but it looks like worse results from Rhoades. To me 6...1/2 dozen the other. Rhoades would've been another guy that would've failed to get us to the NCAA Tournament.

Everyone knew this was gonna be a down year for VCU. We should have clipped them when we had the chance. We blew that one. Rhodes came in late and I'll admit I don't follow anyone but ODU but have read about them having some kind of great class coming in next year. Don't they? and he got his star player from Rice they we couldn't handle coming in too next year.

FWIW those numbers look a lot better if you trim the JJ numbers (or lack there of) off the end.

I still think Rhoades was a better option than Jones. Will Wade burnt that thing down on his way out the door. His situation is much more akin to what our women's team is dealing with this season.

1. There are no VCU people here. That is why it seems particularly pathetic. We are just talking crap among ourselves and downgrading our own program in the process, meanwhile nobody from our "hated rival" even cares, hell nobody even notices.

All of these guys are their main scorers. They lost players but Jones had A LOT less his first year.
