You have to hand it to Saban. He locks up anyone who has experience success against him and he's not opposed to learning from anyone. I don't see Norvell making this move. It would be nice if he did.

Norvell does not have the cache built up to make a move like this IMO. Saban is allowed to absolutely anything he wants...

But this would be a smart move for Freeze. Bama's offense will be better next year, even after losing Calvin Ridley and Bo Scarborough.

Saban is perfect for Freeze because Saban is one of the few powerful enough to get Freeze hired this offseason. Saban can override uneasy Alabama administrators and even Sankey. Maybe it's only as an analyst now, and not the OC, but Freeze is back in the game. Not like Art Briles, who can't even get a gig in the Canadian league.

Once Freeze behaves for a year or two, no one cares anymore about the Ole Miss stuff.

Many of you here applauded the signings of Joe Craig, Geron Johnson and the reinstatement(s) of Jeremy.

Let’s not be hypocrites and only approve of second chances if it furthers the Tiger cause.

Coach Freeze deserves a 2nd chance. He’s shown contrition and humility.
