RE: Rookie of the week
Yeah. I think he won it in week one after the bu game. How good will he be? I have no idea.
Positives: He is a cheerleader. Positive attitude. He's always highfiving someone. Great fundamentals. Sometimes he's the only one blocking out. Hustle.
Negatives: Doesn't seem to have great hands. Loses the ball under the basket. His one shot near the basket is kind of a jump hook.
Grade......incomplete but too early to tell. Please, someone, help him with his moves around the basket. We desperately need an inside threat.

I chalk up your negatives for Murph as being too anxious when he get a pass near the basket. It’s not like he has TJ or Chase Allen looking for him down low.

I think the jump hook was more of a shot not to challenge Cacok. He actually does have a nice post move he used at BU. But remember he’s just a freshman. He’s not the focal point of our offense.

I give him a C+. He’s played in every game this year to merit a grade.

Yeah. C plus is probably about right if the season ended today. He could be better than that if he keeps improving.
Another thing holding him back right now is his bulk. I know that doesn't run in his family but he will get stronger with time.

I'm moving Tomas up to a solid B. Twenty one points today on eight for eleven shooting. Didn't look like a freshman today.

B-

He’s definitely getting better and more confident. He still will have some ups and downs depending on the opponent.

He’s just needs to hit the weight room in the offseason. But his skills are there to see.
