That’s what this is about three days later. This is what they are calling Durbin a liar over. Erik Ericcson of RedState reported Friday night that Trumpmwas bragging about calling them shithole countries immediately afterwards to other Republican Senators. I don’t know what is more pathetic. The President or people who buy this line of defense. It’s not good.

We don't care if he called them a shithouse or shithole. Either term is an accurate description. Trump is right - sorry, the gates to the US are closed.

We already have more than enough people in this country with no education or skills to successfully integrate into the United States without becoming part of the government welfare taker class.

A doctor from Nigeria wants to emigrate, come on in. A non-educated no skill Nigerian wants to come......we already have enough taxi drivers, stay in your country - drive a taxi there.

Plenty do care. Trump isn't right, the doors are still open. And no, countries aren't shithouses or shitholes. Trump opposed immigration from countries predominantly populated by persons of color and pined for immigration from a white country.

Most immigrants don't take squat.

LOL. Have you ever tried to get a taxicab in NYC between 3-6pm? There's plenty of need for that.

You are the king of claiming victimhood and see a boogeyman behind every bush. I can't imagine living life thinking veryone is always out to screw me and put me in an internment camp......

So you're not a Republican?

Someone's political ideology I don't think determines a person's view of life. Some people see everyone as trying to screw them, others don't.

I think the PCI for Norway is pretty easy to look up.

And that's perfectly okay.

I respect people who are honest.

But to say he didn't say it or believe that he didn't say it is just plain stupid.
I don't know or care if he said it. What is hilarious is the fake indignation is still going a week later.

It just confirms what we all already knew about Trump so I agree with you that it's crazy that they are still talking about it.

And that they think anybody cares, except to laugh at the people complaining. The people who hate Trump will just use this to justify the hatred that consumes them. The ones who don't, don't really care. Its just Trump being Trump, assuming he did actually say it.

I like Gorsuch, and we needed to bring our corporate taxes in line with the rest of the world to stop punishing American companies. I'm not very happy with the health care debacle--just do Bismarck, like Heritage basically said 25 years ago, and be done with it. And if Trump moves into immigration and free trade in the next year, I probably won't like what he does nearly as much, because we have fundamental disagreements on policy.

I'd rather let in a doctor or engineer from Haiti than a bum from Norway. Just as I'd rather let in a doctor or engineer from Norway than a bum from Haiti. We need more useful, productive people and fewer bums, regardless of race, creed, or national origin. It's patently absurd for Microsoft to build a campus in BC, just across the border, because the US won't give work visas to bright, talented foreign IT professionals.

Sounds like you agree with Trump. That is what he so ineloquently said.

Of those 90k how much in taxes do they take away? And, you do realize that their population is very small and probably need all the people they can get thus having to pay more and also take away more to sustain itself.

RE: Sens Cotton And Perdue Say Trump Didn’t Say ‘S**hole, Cotton Calls Durbin A Liar
The issues of cities in the USA that are falling apart have to do with the policies of both parties. Republicans seems to care more about the big business, and ignores the issues of the small businesses. The big businesses are driving out the mom and pop's stores in every city. Some of the regulations that have past by both parties are one size fits all. Both parties have their hand out to the wealthy people and corporations, and completely ignored the people. These cities that are falling apart are run by both parties. Since the free of slaves and moving forward in history? There was never enough jobs for everybody. If it was either the former slaves, females, Asians, latinos, Native Americans, Arabs, Jews, Irish, Italians and the disabled. You got a flood of new people going into the work place. The wealthy are only there to make more money, and pocket the cash. They rather lay people off, and not add new workers, and raise the prices. Look at what happened to Hostess? The CEO and board with the Union workers agreed to cut the salaries of the workers. Few months later, the same CEO and board execs gave themselves pay raises, and give more money to the stock markets. A few months later, the business went out of business. Our problems are politics, the big business, the economics and our banking system is actually keeping many people down no matter what side of the aisle that you are on which leads us to have Shaithole cities across the country.

There are plenty of talented IT professionals in America. If Microsoft won't pay them the market rate, their products should be imposed a massive tariff when coming back in this country equal to the difference in cost would be with American workers. This schit needs to end.

This is not actually about compensation. This is about the fact that the top graduates from the top schools are disproportionately foreign nationals. Microsoft is paying market value for them, they're living in BC after all, not some third world country.

Solutions:
1) Not let them in to study, saving the slots for Americans. That might be the Trump approach, and it's the easy one, but I think it's the wrong one.
2) Improve our education system, particularly in the STEM area. This is harder, but much better in the long run.

that is the right path....however, I would argue developing a system that forces such....

it's there for the taking.....and it would take ~decade to happen if implemented in scope before seeing any measurable results....

The issue is that many of these big businesses want to hire cheap labor. Tysons here in Arkansas was fined several times for having illegals working in their chicken plants, and they are still doing it. Even Trump hire illegals, El Salvadorians and others at his buildings including his golf course in Florida. Somebody needs to speak up and point this out to Trump that he is being a hypocrite for doing this practice.

Americans have a hard time competing. We're getting their best and their brightest and often students older than our average. Certainly ones more mature. My nephew 20 years ago said all the Americans dropped out of EE and switched to computer science or something else.

Americans have a hard time competing. We're getting their best and their brightest and often students older than our average. Certainly ones more mature. My nephew 20 years ago said all the Americans dropped out of EE and switched to computer science or something else.
The foreign students should not be allowed in, period.

I've decided that Trump is going to say things continuously that I find disgusting, but so far what he as actually done has been pretty agreeable to me. Life goes a lot more in depth than academics... and in my experience these students pretty much suck at every other aspect of life. Just my opinion, but I see very little value in the foreign students. I'd rather give it to an average American student that know how to work a network and will add value to his classmates' experiences.
