Wanna bet?
No particularly just a hunch. Are we going H&H after this year? How does that work? You'll find no bigger Jeff Lebo hater than me, I thought he should've been fired at the end of the 2015 season.
That said I've seen a lot of Wichita St fans reasonably bad mouth our team. One thing you guys have to remember is we now have 5 guys out from what we thought we would have including our starting PG. IMO next year we will be very capable in this league unless we get some unexpected attrition. Our class is solid, we get a VA Tech transfer eligible, and our Starting PG is expected to be back.
Minges can be a very difficult place to play, we just need some momentum. I actually like the look of our pieces next season.
Its nice to see a little optimism for your program.
I guess we'll have to wait and see if whoever the new coach is can keep the recruiting class and how many of the current players decide to transfer.
So lets break it down.....http://www.phenomhoopreport.com/2018/01/09/michael-wynn-leader-ecu-hoops-desired/
PG-Jeremy Sheppard who was original signee to UCF, averaged 9 ppg last year was suspended for the year, he will be a Soph.
SG-Michael Wynn FR is by all accounts sticking to his LOI, he and Gardner are boys.
SF-Kentrell Barkley, we might get our teeth kicked in tomorrow, but KB would play a role on any team in this league
PF-Seth Leday Va Tech transfer
C-Jayden Gardner
our bench
First off the bench
Flemming
Spasoevic
Williams
Wade
Davis
Haruna
Quinton
Whatley
While I like the enthusiasm I feel like we are about ready to turn this thing around every year and somehow we've managed to get worse. . I'll believe it when I see it.
I don't think those two freshman are good enough to come in and compete in this league, while they look like pretty decent players this is a fairly elite league. Those guys are ranked between 350 and 400th best in the country. I think Spas will start next year. As a freshman he's averaging 7.0 ppg and 4.8rpg as a freshman, probably the best numbers we've had at that position from a freshman that I can remember. And he's only playing 25mpg.
You're also probably going to see Fleming start at the G position also, not Wynn. I think we are recruiting a little better and I like three of the guys we signed but they are not guys who are going to come in and help us win in this league. They will be at best role players for a couple years.

We haven't had a legitimate reason for high expectations in a few years. I like Spas' poise under the rim, still struggles to rebound and needs to work on his FTs. I think Gardner is going to be difficult to keep of the court if his rebounding remotely translates.
A new coach will be huge as well, we've had a culture of negativity around the program since Lebo took over.
So there you have it Pirate fans. It's on you to rid this conference AND this board of the Shockers. Send us back to our plane with our tail between our legs and we'll disappear back into the corn fields of Iowa.
Why do people keep saying this is Marshall's homecoming? He was born in SC in a town that is fairly close to Georgia and went to school in Ashland, VA which is closer to Maryland than it is NC.

It's as close to home for him as we have played in a while. He mentioned on his radio show he will have over a hundred friends and family at the game.

It may frighten me more if we actually won.
I don't remember saying anything about a ballgame. I repeat, The Marshall Clan is heading your way...
Imagine 100's of ^this^ storming up your gangplank...

WSU may lose some votes as the viewers at home wonder why they are playing like a bottom 50 team.
Smart move. This will add several turnovers to our total tonight as we hand the ball to the enemy unprovoked.

With 10 black jerseys on the floor at the same time, this might be a rare opportunity for opponent scouting teams to obtain realistic video footage of what it's like to play the Shockers.
So... after looking at the new uniforms for tonight's game... basically, everything Shelly B and Compher have told us about re-branding as "ECU" is BS?
The "new" uniforms were all going to remove "East Carolina" from them... and these are new.
