They pull it out though! wowza. Big win for them.

A great win for the ladies! Buffalo was 11-2 and best in the East.

+1
They could have easily gave up in overtime. Best part of this team is they never quit.
Buffalo is a really good team. Ladies keep it going.
Can we trade coaches?

This is what I love about this team. Win or lose they leave their guts on the court. They start the game playing hard and they end it playing even harder. Buffalo tried as hard as they could to steal the game from them, but the Huskies wouldn't let them.

The thank you notes on Monty's desk must be starting to pile up.

Maric leaving had nothing to do with Monty or NIU. He left to play against top competition. He is doing that and giving himself some NBA and over seas looks. It also was for the family he stays with. He has been back to Dekalb to see ex teammates and Monty. No one here is upset or doesn’t understand! But they certainly wish he stayed!

Yes, they lose Starks who is really the only true point guard left and still managed to win in OT. Struggled at the end of regulation without her but still survived. Great defense at the end of OT.

He's averaging 13.5 and 6. He's not drastically better this year or anything. He is drastically better than the big guys we currently have though

Crazy women’s game stats: Huskies 10assists, 29turnovers, 35.5%fg, 26% from 3pt and they still won.

Both teams had a lot of turnovers. Buffalo was voracious in their steal attempts, trying to rip the ball from our players' hands. Many ended up being jump balls, but many of those should have been fouls. I was yelling at the refs so much that my wife tried to get me kicked out of the Convo. What a superb game all around. A shame one team had to lose, but I'm glad it wasn't NIU.

Nice crowd there. Looked to me a little more than the men's games.

The women’s game attendance listed at 593. The last men’s game the Tuesday after New Years is listed at 918. Both deserved better attendance.

Yes, they sure do. I do have to admit, however, that it's sure easy leaving the Convo with no traffic! I'll be at the men's game next Saturday.

The women could not handle the buffalo press. Got lucky on many occasions, just enough.

Yeah, he's the same guy. Would we be better with him? Yep. Would we be winning the MAC with him? Don't think so.
