RE: JORDAN LYNCH new Head coach Mt. Carmel
I wish JL nothing but the best and great success, and hoe to see him back at NIU someday! From the comments it sounds like he is a true players coach, which is not a surprise. It sounds like may be walking into a bit of a hornets nest, and I hope he is able to handle the administration and alumni, which are different issues and a skill set versus being a player coach.

Maybe he will be back at NIU eventually in some capacity. HC experience will be useful.

Terry Brennan went from Mt Carmel to Norte Dame back in the day. He was the same age as JL.

Lenti had an opportunity to go to ND under Holtz to be RB coach.

Really hope Lynch doesn't end up at that school.

Here is a follow up on the situation, circumstances with Lynch hire. Didn't see it anywhere else.

I read a couple Chicago Tribune articles and it sounds a little messy. I wish the best for both Lenti and of course Jordan Lynch.

What if Lynch brings them back to dominance and then pushes their top players to go play for NIU. I mean it was would be niiiiiiiice.

What if Lynch brings them back to dominance.....Are you serious?
You do realize Mt. Carmel just missed coming to Huskie Stadium this past season losing to Lake Zurich 14-7 in the 7A semifinals? Mt. Carmel was a No. 18 seed and LZ was the No. 3 seed that then lost 21-14 to Batavia in the championship.
In 34 years, Lenti has never been below .500, 11 state titles and five runner-up finishes, has the state record for most wins at one school, most state titles, and is second in career wins.
.... and you think the program needs to be brought back to dominance?
I'm all for Jordan succeeding, but the real Joe Novak knows better than to think Mt. Carmel needs to be brought back to dominance in a time when parity is on the increase.

Ezzzzzzzz looks like I really struck a cord. I didn’t realize they won in 2013. Before then they had not won a state championship for over a decade, and that is not typical for Mt. Carmel.
