RE: C-USA Stock Recommendations: Football
Sell: FIU, UNT, WKU, UAB, UTSA
Hold: FAU, MT, Charlotte, ODU
Buy: Rice, UTEP, La Tech, USM, Marshall
The theme here is that most of the teams that finished at or near the top did so by squeaking out multiple wins and finishing ahead of traditional top CUSA schools that were having down years for one reason or another. Course correction incoming.

RE: C-USA Stock Recommendations: Football
Don't have to do anything special for bowls and losses. Getting bowl eligible obviously gives you the chance for additional wins, that's your bonus as I will base win totals off regular season.n so if you go with teams you think make the championship, that's another opportunity for a win. This actually gives you some upside to pick higher priced teams.
The rest takes care of itself. If you buy WKU at 4 and they go 2-10, the losses have already been accounted for.
I doubt very many people get more than a 10% return (i.e. More than 110 points) unless you go the penny stock route, throw everything on say UTEP, and they go 10-2.

Okay, who's going to manage the data for this adventure? I nominate WKUYG, that guy loves charts and graphs.
And, of course, when you start the thread, you'll need to explain the program completely for those of us who are math-challenged.

Here's what I'll think about doing, and if I do, I'll start a thread. I will look at the teams and assign a value between 1 and 10 for each team going into 2018. Anyone who wants to play will be given 100 points to invest in the teams however they see fit (whole shares only). It really won't matter what values I assign, even though I will try to be logical with it, because every one will have the opportunity to look for value with their buys. For example, if I assign a 4 to WKU their fans shouldn't be mad if they think they will win 8 next year, it just creates a buying opportunity.
The final score will be the number of wins multiplied by the number of shares you own in each team.
I’m in. I think this could be a fun idea.

RE: C-USA Stock Recommendations: Football
I'll play. As far as Tech goes, I'm buying big time. We're losing only one player on the offensive line and have been rotating younger offensive linemen in throughout the season. We're losing only one receiver who wasn't that big of a contributor and our younger dynamic receivers will another off season to develop. We're losing both our starting running backs but it's been speculated Kam McKnight, our 6'2" 222 lb. JR WR, will be moved to running back to spell Jaqwis Dancy. And another off season can only help J'Mar Smith develop into a better QB and gel with the receivers.
As far as defense goes, we're losing a starting DE, LB, and S. We're going to have a lot of seniors on the defensive line and have brought in a few JUCO linebackers who look like the real deal. As far as the secondary goes, we were returning a FR All-American, two SO, and a JR who were already starting. The only big question mark we have is gonna be at kicker since Johnathon Barnes is graduating. This is the year for Tech to make a big splash and return to the conference championship game.

Let me get through the non-conference schedules and see the conference schedules released and I'll put something up and track it.

I would definitely buy into Tech in this game, At the very least I'd expect to get at least 8 wins next year.

Maybe our inexperience at kicker will force Skip Holtz to depend on the kicker less in 2018 than in 2017. Let's hope so anyway.

Yes. I put it together and roll something out in early August, if not sooner.
