I'LL pray for you. You're going to be worthless tomorrow. Hope you didn't have anything planned. That first day back in the gym pain can be brutal. Especially if you work upper and lower body like me.

I just did upper today and was cautious. Ill do lower on Sunday. Im not going to kill myself with this. I am friends with the couple that own the gym and they are both trainers. They promise they have a long term plan that will work without full on torture. We will see in the AM.

The key is at least 15 minutes of stretching post work out and a post workout mix.

Came out fine...just minor soreness yesterday. Nothing that kept me from playing golf. I just had to warm up a bit longer than usual. I think my trainer friend has me on the right track. He has me on this regiment for the next 3 weeks and then we will add more reps and weight. I did not get soft overnight...Im not going to change that overnight either.

Ha. I probably stopped going to the gym a good 7 years after college. It took me about six months to get back around the strength I had back then. About another six months to pass that Mark as I eventually hit a wall. Been going back regularly for the last 4-5 years, slacking a little here and there.

Jacking is fine....Who cares?
Im committed to get stronger and more flexible. Ive lost over 20 yards with my driver over the past few years and having to play my second shots outside of 150 out is killing my golf game. I have to pick that distance back up to be competitive again.

Just a hint of reality or a thread of truth in your drive by's would take you a lot further.

Like you guys give a **** about the truth, reality, or rational discussion. 03-nutkick

I probably should not be giving you half wits advice but effective snark requires hints of reality and threads of truth, not ad nauseam streams of vitriol.

You're insulting half wits. Tsk. Half wits have feelings too. 03-wink

I agree that I'd rather be cheering a 25%-50% reduction. But at least slowing the rate of increase is a step in the right direction. But if he really wants my support, he needs to push through the following:

1) All new rule makings subject to congressional consent; automatically for any rule having an effect more than $X, and upon petition by 20% of the members of congress within 6 months for those not reaching that threshold; agencies may declare a regulation to be an emergency regulation, in which case the time frame is 1 month, and the congressional review is mandatory;
2) Sunset review of every administrative agency every 10 years, on the 10 year anniversary of its establishment to spread it out, the scope of such review to include confirmation or rescission of each regulation issued by that agency from inception;
3) Getting the ALJs who decide cases out from under the supervision of the executive director of the agency, a blatant conflict of interest and violation of due process, in my opinion; either create a separate executive department of administrative hearings, like Texas and Oregon, or better, set up Article III administrative law courts in each federal judicial district, like most countries in Europe;
4) Try all cases in the district in which the cause of action arises, instead of DC, and have the route of appeal go up through that district and circuit, instead of thought he DC circuit. This has the effect of pulling a lot of power from inside the Beltway to the rest of the country, as it should be.

Not surprisingly...much misleading from trump on what he's actually accomplishing here. Too bad the cons now seemingly want to trust everything from the government when their guy is in charge. Sad.

Quote:While the president has succeeded in undoing some major environmental and financial industry rules, a Bloomberg News review of the administration’s list found almost a third of them actually were begun under earlier presidents. Others strain the definition of lessening the burden of regulation or were relatively inconsequential, the kind of actions government implements routinely.

"They are really undercutting their own credibility by putting out numbers that are not, quite frankly, very believable," said Cary Coglianese, a University of Pennsylvania law professor who is also director of the Penn Program on Regulation. “If I were advising them, I would have said put out something that’s credible."

Two questions:
1) For those where the process of repealing them was begun under prior administrations, why waeren't they actually repealed under those other administrations?
2) For those that were relatively inconsequential, why did they exist in the first place?
