Nope people only care about conference trophies and ny6 bowls. Sorry but no amount of troll threads or spin is going to change that. My question was completely relevant since those are the only trophies people actually care about.

Literally no one besides usf fans brag about winning no name bowls.

Its like winning your disvison in the nfl, no one cares. The only thing they care a about are conference titles and superbowls. Which in college football equal conference and ny6 titles.

... and with good reason, because I'm not a USF "fan". A fan is someone who roots for a team from afar, who knows them from TV and started cheering for them because they were good. E.g., you probably saw UConn win the 2004 hoops title on TV and so went to Walmart, bought a UConn t-shirt, and have been cheering them from your living room ever since. But there's no roots there, no multi-dimensionality to your connection. UConn is just a bunch of guys wearing hoops and football uniforms at different times of the year on your TV set.

But I spent 11 years on the USF campus, as a student and then as an adjunct. I'm an alumnus and supporter, which is far different from being a "fan".

Sorry about the sickness. Three years ago, Christmas 2014, I came down with a bad sore throat around 12/22 and went to an after hours clinic for it on Christmas Eve. It was bacterial so i started taking antibiotics. Was bad on Christmas day but had a great day anyway - wife made an amazing lasagne and i got lots of presents, so I hope your family can do the same.
