Maybe FAU will play it really conservative against an obviously inferior opponent at home, and run up the middle almost every first down, and most of the time on second down, leaving them in third and long a lot. Akron can go all in to stop the run, and FAU will shut themselves down. Maybe when FAU gets in the red zone they will stay predictable.

...but then again, FAU might just decided not to play it to be a close game, and they might never let Akron get comfortable; thus destroying them by halftime.

The only hope is that rain makes for wet conditions, and not many people show up for the game. That would destroy FAU emotionally, and the wet conditions will only effect the home team, right?

FAU has not felt the Power of the MAC East yet. :)

I really hope FAU dominates them on the field, but, somehow loses it screwing it up + bad luck going their way almost every time. I never heard of a game like that against Akron, but, I'm sure it can exist.

I hope Akron, and all MAC teams, do well in the post-season.

It is in WMU's best interest to have other conference teams succeed in non-conference games. Like it or not, we are a MAC program and the success, of failure, of other MAC teams reflects on us.

This looks like a intentionally bad pairing. Just like last season's CMU/Tulsa fiasco.
CMU or Ohio vs FAU would have been better for the MAC. Seems like a set up win for Kiffen and FAU.

Buffalo beat FAU this year.

On a side note, playing a bowl game in your own stadium would suck, even if you have the home crowd. Half the fun of a bowl is to go somewhere different, do the touristy thing, etc.

No playing at a mediocre Bowl site when you can stay at the Boca Raton Hotel and Resort enjoying S Fl would suck.

Ok, maybe I’d be the only one in favor of experiencing a new city and sights instead of the hotel 5 miles from my dorm room.

Akron sucks. It's embarrassing for the MAC as a conference that they played in the title game.

They looked just as overmatched in the MAC Championship game... Toledo just took their foot off the gas earlier... I mean Akron has had their backup QB in the game since end of the 3rd quarter... FAU is still running out their #1's...

They still played in the title game. They beat us on our home field. Knowing that and watching what FAU has done to them makes me want to puke.
