Considering Virginia has had two Democrat Senators and a Democratic Governor for some time (not to mention it went for Clinton in 2016), not sure how you conclude the Virginia election was anything but yet another party-line vote.

But you are not the brightest bulb in the chandelier, are you?

I had no idea that Trump was the candidate that ran in the VA or AL elections...

They had to drop every resource in the party and every last penny they could muster into this race and still won by just a few votes.

This can't be good for the left.

You know had Moore won, you would have been spiking the ball as well.

uhhhh, NO

I would have done no such thing at all. I find the man to be highly questionable at best. A child predator at worst.

You know your party is in bad shape when Roy Freaking Moore is the best candidate you can put out there.

This can’t be good for the right.

While I don't think Moore was the right candidate for the Republicans... It will be interesting to see if all these Moore "accusers" drop off the face of the map now that the election is over. They did with Trump in 2016 (despite the recent resurgence) and with Herman Cain back in 2008.

2018 will be interesting election year... my guess is that every republican running will have sexual harassment accusers that come out. It may be the new Democrat tactic since they can't win on their non-existent platform and/or calling everyone a "racist" doesn't work anymore.

Yep. Alabama republicans have had their heads up their asses for a long time, and it finally caught up with them. The whole Alabama republican leadership needs to step down. For that matter, the national republican leadership needs to do the same.
The way to win an election is to accuse the opponent of being a child molester 3 weeks before the election. That's all this means.

Yeah. And watch. As soon as tomorrow hits, all of the women who accused Moore of sexual assault will never be heard from again since they "did their job" to impugn the man enough to cost him an easily winnable election.

I’m guessing they won’t be heard from because Roy Moore won’t be heard from? I bet the Al Franken accusers won’t be heard from again either. They told their stories already.

Have you heard of this thing called a news cycle? If you don’t hear from the accusers again, it’s not because they are off living it up on Soros Island. It’s because they are yesterday’s news.

That knee jerk reaction simply doesn't work.

The republican party was against Moore after the allegations came out. Actually they were against him in the primaries too. His entire candidacy, even before the allegations, was a fight against the establishment of his own party.

Just sayin

The write ins were the difference in the race according to the Alabama Secretary of State. So people voted against Moore.

I know what a news cycle is. Stuff like sexual assault isn't something to play politics with.

Oh, wait. Y'all just did. Way to sell your soul to the devil. You can't win based on policies anymore. Also, if the allegations were true, why did it take all the so-called "victims" forty freaking years to come out and say them? (Unless if, you know, they're lying.)

sherekhan: All thanks to the political hit job done by the left.

Many Moderate Republican voters voted for Jones. One Republican voter came out and voted against Moore because of his daughter being gay, and she killed herself because of bigots like Roy Moore attacking and bullying her. People had other reasons to vote against moore than just those accusations alone.

You can believe that if you want. The facts are a Democrat beat an accused child molester by 1 point with 21,000 write in votes, double the margin of victory.

Didn't Moore announce he had field suits against his accusers?

This may not be finished yet.
