The officials are killing JT4. They just do not know how to call a game for a player with his power game.

Getting killed with this lineup. Need to get to halftime without it getting any worse.

Absolutely. JT4 is our ONE dominant post player.

Even having JT4 in their really helps Jackson.

Huge three to keep it close from Jackson. Oakland is good. We really need to tighten up the defense in the 2nd half.

Wow! Thank goodness for Jackson giving us the late offensive spark and drilling that 3 at the buzzer.

Still down by 3. Bond has 3 and Thompson has 3, so we've gotta be careful.

The lineup (with no Bond or Thompson) was getting destroyed on defense and repeatedly turning it over on offense. Hopefully with thr starters back on the floor we can lock back down on D.

I saw the graphic for the half time. Says no EMU points in the paint. Like, hello, JT4 has been making his living there scoring almost at will in the paint.

The day JT4 goes pro or graduates I'm going to buy a six pack of beer and cry and cry in my beer.

We're seen the bench post players and they are not a year away...

JT4 is playing like Marcus Kennedy did. Beast inside.

Hell yeah! Beating Oakland always feels good! Put them back in their place.

JT4 liked the 'rivalry game' although he didn't really know much about it.

Unfortunately, Thompson's first time playing (and beating) Oakland. Hopefully we have another home-and-home with them next year.

Amazing how OU can only be 5 - 4 with Nunn, Walker and Hayes...

Greg Kampe always has a brutal schedule. That is a very good team. They'll probably win the Horizon, barring injuries.

Impressive win. I'm going to do something I rarely do and give some credit to Murphy. Managing the team through a difficult foul situation was impressive.

Paul Jackson is very good. Nice to see a real floor General on the court for a change.

Thompson is a man amongst boys.

And finally, for the very obnoxious fan at the north end...SILENCE! Super Fan now has competition.

I don't know who recruited the transfers (was it Brown?) but he did one great job.

Picking up Jackson, Minnie, etc. is a major coup for a mid-major.

Our transfers look much, much better than our regular recruits.

We have a starting four (JT4, Minnie, Bond and Jackson) as good as any in the MAC. The rest really need to come through.

RE: Game Day: Oakland
Yep, let's give credit where credit is due. Murphy came out played a 4-1 zone that would switch to a 1-3-1 zone when Oakland attacked the paint . The 1-3-1 allows the free throw line to be guarded. If you're going to play zone, this works the best.

I didn't want to jinx Paul Jackson, but he's the best PG at EMU since Boykins. Thompson is the best bigman at EMU since Long. Minnie is a great player too. I have to give credit to Murphy for bringing in very nice talent. I was happy to see Ellison get some meaningful minutes. We need to keep developing our bench. We also ran a motion offense and got the ball to JT4. Again, nice job Murphy. Ifwe're going to be competitive in the MAC we still need to learn how to close out games....too many missed free throws, and unforced TOs. Hey we beat a very solid team tonight so great job Coach Murphy, and EMU team!!
