I think Buster Faulkner our demoted OC came here with a two year contract. It's up this year. He needs to go. Not sure if we have anybody else. We got Buster from MTSU. I hope we beat them by 40.

AState has three assistants on two year contracts though one of them hasn't been rolled over.

Not sure if it is standard here but I know our DC had a 2-year deal.

It's pretty common for coordinators to get multi-year deals in FBS. The contingent of our fan base that thinks that because coordinators are seeking contracts that the GS job is toxic don't know what they're talking about.

I think some are multi-year but maybe have tie-ins to the head coach being there.

Usually the top paid assistants are given multi year deals as incentive for them to sign. Provides some security that unlike normal assistants, they can't just be run out on a whim at the end of their contract without financial compensation.

AState multi-year deals provide that if the head coach is fired, contract is still good. If the head coach quits their contracts expire at the end of the month.
