WAC Men's Basketball Game Thread 11/27-12/03
Figured I'd get a general thread going for all the games for the week. Makes the most sense as we usually all congregate in some random thread. The sky may have fallen but WAC basketball is still here for now.

64-65 SU with 2:30 left. Good game though.

RE: WAC Men's Basketball Game Thread 11/27-12/03
Im sick of the lack of respect and recognition shown to reigning WAC FOY Matej Kavas. After winning the award last year, all that was said was he didnt deserve it and it should have been Oscar Frayer. After a coaching and system change, the sophomore is averaging 18.5ppg and over 5 rebounds per game (was 5.8 before ISU game, but had 9 today). He is shooting 51% from the field and 47% from 3. Yet no one ever talks about him.
Kavas has scored 27, 15, 25, 24 in his last 4 games against Detroit-Mercy, Belmont, Washington, and Idaho State in that order.
Watch out because at this rate, the sophomore is in WAC POY contention and would be a lock for 1st team WAC if the season ended today

He is no doubt a very good player. Beat some real teams and not almost lose to one of the worst teams in the country in Idaho State at home and people will talk. Harsh but true.

Took UW to final seconds
Led 6-0 WSU by 10 in the second half
Tied with Belmont until midway thru 2nd half
Besides losing by an expected amount to St Louis in the season opener, Seattle U played much better than expected in their losses. Tonight was a bad night but this one game clearly does not dictate how the season has gone so far. Very tough OOC thus far, but about to get very easy.
Dont forget the 30 point whopping SU put on Detroit-Mercy
Seattle U only made 20% from 3 today, by far the lowest of the season. Based on performance before this game, this ISU contest was a fluke. At least as of now thats what it is

Pretty arrogant on your part Clarity thinking the sky is falling for the WAC just because Bakersfield is leaving. Cal Baptist is sliding right into your slot for now so don't count the WAC out just yet. It's gone through this $hit numerous times and still keeps surviving.

Pretty good showing for Chicago State against a good Marquette team who I am also a fan of, only down 8 at the half. Marquette are 27.5 point favorites.

Would be nice to see CSU get a quality win over Marquette. UVU might bring the game close in the second half, but I do not see them doing what they did last year to BYU. The CSUB game vs UCLA should be interesting. I wouldn't be surprised if UCLA demolished CSUB.

Roadrunner pressure giving UCLA trouble early. Durham just hit a 3. 11-7 almost halfway thru the first

CSUB playing some amazing defense, getting dominated in the post though. Welsh is really good. Joiner with 10 and two 3's and Durham with three 3's. 6/11 from deep. Only down 2 at half 27-29. Great first half.

BYU got revenge for the loss UVU gave them at their place last season. UCLA is coming off the half strong.

CSB needs a run quick or they are going to get run out of Pauley.

Agreed CSUB has been outscored 14-5 in the first six minutes of the second half and UCLA is already in the bonus.

Runners really need Durham to shoot well against good teams.
He's not shooting well tonight.
