Norvell is a sharp guy. I don't think he would touch UT with a 10 foot pole. It would really take someone who is desperate to take that job or someone who is going to be paid an insane amount of money.

Do these students actually know anything about hiring a football coach? Not that the administration does but....do they really know anything?

I doubt their AD survives this. I think there is a good chance they come after Bowen AND Norvell.

This is great. The only person they can get now is a has-been who is desperate for a job.

Schiano would have been a decent hire.

There’s a signed Memorandum of Understanding between Schiano and athletic director John Currie, which they agreed to and signed in Columbus earlier today."

And don't blame Schiano at all for expecting some compensation and threatening to sue, if it comes to that:

Sources tell FootballScoop, Tennessee and Greg Schiano had an understanding of terms earlier in the day; but UT is now backing out of the agreement. Greg Schiano’s side, we’re told, is seeking compensation in connection with breaking the agreement.

UT will be paying yet another coach to go away. And he never stepped foot on the property.

They are using the “Sandusky enabler” stuff because he wasn’t the wow hire they were looking for. They are expecting a Nick Saban, but are delusional. They’d be lucky for a Les Myles or Schiano...

No idea. But coaches, like Tubby here, have worked off of MOUs for months while the details get worked out. If document was truly signed by both sides, would seem he has cause.
