You think that they called off the dogs? Hawks went to the reserves first at about 3 minutes before their star hit the bench.

Well, that's a very good Davidson team with almost all of their starters back, and our team is still finding itself. I wish we could have met later in the year (not saying the outcome would have been different) but we would have showed up better I think.

Hawks would have beat them last year no problem. This year is different. And they are coming to Trask next year without Superman. Should be interesting to see if the Hawks can regain the edge in the series. It''s now 5-5. Wildcats may be dancing this year.

I hope Richmond and Elmore can help out soon. Davidson is going to have a good year. That being said, I didn't think we would fall by 27. Solutions anyone?

They are projected to be an at-large team. A very good team.

But until we some some defense from the Hawks, it's problematic.

Definitely not a good sign....This could be a real test early for C.B..... Can't let the fellas dwell on this one

Getting those 2 back will help, but it may be a while. Hawks need to work on their defense. This was a problem last year but it didn't matter because the Hawks outscored everybody. All in all, a worst case scenario. Hawks play a veteran team that can really score it as UNCW trying to gel. Going small is still an option in my mind, at times.

Arguably the best team we will play this year

Yes....going small could work..BUT, will the coaching staff have the mindset to try it if the traditional lineup continues to struggle?

I believe you're right about that.

My first solution would be to burn those uniforms. Or at least hide them in the closet. Might be bad luck. Lol

They should entertain it Grayhawk-at times. You have to do what you have to do. Powell can score and they know that. Elmore may make a nice difference too, but that may be a while. If you're not getting stops, you have to score more points. That was Keatts and it's going to take some time to get them into a defensive club.

It was just one game so let's give the team some time to gel defensively. A season is a long time. Davidson runs some great stuff. I've used their stuff in my coaching.

Yep the uniforms weren't good looking to me either. This was just a bad night!

Just our first real game under McGrath, but going down to a middle rated Davidson team +30 isn't a good omen. Made it closer at the end, but that's a big lead to allow. Although we scored more, we gave up almost the same amount of points as Charleston Southern and more than Hampden Sydney.

I hope you're right, but have my doubts.....I really think Top 4 in the conference regular season would be a MAJOR accomplishment.. I'm guessing mid pack is where we end up
