Dude I agree that should have been a flagrant. Does CSUB normally foul this much?

Only six D1 teams fouled more than CSUB last season. They dish out fouls like candy. That was in part the cause of their doom against NMSU in the WAC Tourney Championship.

Oh I figured that with their defense as good as it was, they didn't foul as much.

Hopefully, the fouls issue should be a huge goal for them this season.

Well so much for that game. Was hoping that CSUB would have sated my dislike of GaSo with a win...

Cross country travel is not good and I expect a different showing in the return game. I'll allow this one even though they looked terrible. Anymore games like this and I will start to worry. I still think they will get it together by WAC play but wow there's more to work on than I thought. Still not throwing the season in the trash yet. They are better than this. I hope this and Arizona Thursday doesn't destroy their confidence. On to the next one.

If they can hang with Arizona like they did a year ago, I will be impressed. Arizona and Duke are heads and shoulders above the rest of the D1 field. Ayton is a MAN child and Trier is on a scoring tear.

Yeah I watched some of the UMBC-Zona game yesterday. Trier is a monster. They are ridiculously good but pretty poor defensively. I will be impressed if they keep it under 20 honestly. Zona is that good.

So how did the potential WAC rookie of the year, Jarkel Joiner do against D1 competition?

RE: CSUB vs Georgia Southern Game thread
Well after this weekend as an Aggie fan I'm feeling pretty good. I know that GA Southern may be decent but CSUB revealed some glaring problems. Aggies are a new team and for 3 fourths of the game stuck with a veteran #22 ranked team on their home court. Same thing can be said about Utah Valley. Utah Valley had Kentucky's back against the wall, and had some pretty good moments vs. the #1 team Duke. GCU beating up on cupcakes at home hasn't proved anything to me yet. Beat someone on their home court. Based on this weekend, albeit it's early, here is my predictions for WAC regular season:

1. Utah Valley
2. NMSU
3. GCU
4. CSUB
5. Seattle
6. UTRGV
7. UMKC
8. Chicago State

I agree except really no way UMKC doesn't finish sixth this season. They will finish 3rd the following season if still in WAC.

2018 3rd

Home court reason why Clarity. Cross country travel sucks as you know from last night when you came out flat in first half.

The WAC is much much different than it was a few years ago. UMKC isn't cracking the top 5 ever if they are even a member beyond this year.

LOL we were in top 4 last year.

The only team in the WAC year in year out to come beat us at the Muni is NMSU.

Nah, that's just how it is with Barnes' teams. They foul a lot. And the smaller the lineup the more they'll foul.

Take the good with the bad. It's like a spread passing team, good news is you're always in the game, the bad news is they're always in the game.

UMKC only loses Broderick Robinson and Robert Knarr but I am not sure they add enough with Suggs, Dixon, and Allen to move up much next season... maybe?

Obviously this is UVU's big harah! season as Brandon Randolph, Akolda Manyang, Isaac Neilson, Zach Nelson, Kenneth Ogbe, Jerrelle DeBerry will be gone next season.

GCU loses Josh Braun, Casey Benson, Keonte Vernon, and Shaq Carr.

NMSU loses Jemerrio Jones, Zach Lofton, and Johnathon Wilkins.

Cal State Bakersfield loses Brett Wrapp, Shon Briggs, Moataz Aly, Fallou Ndoye, and James Suber.

And, Seattle loses Richaud Gittens, Jordan Hill, and Josh Hearlihy.

However, Seattle and NMSU already have adequate transfer replacements sitting out this season. And, CSUB and GCU have a lot of talented youth, who might already be better than UMKC's current freshman class.

Not really. It was kind of meant as a little dig at Clarity who anointed Joiner as the likely WAC ROY after his tremendous performance against a DIII team. Against Georgia Southern he did not look too good and Clarity was a bit silent on the subject.

You're right dude Joiner is trash. One bad game, pssh he sucks. A true freshman having a bad game on the road against a really good team. Yeah that never happens. You were a bit silent after Benson had quite an awful game against Florida A&M who is a horrible team. Probably should chill on the smack until you play a real team.
