Sounds like the right idea to me, if the Dodgers need long relief. And then start Wood in game 7 if LA wins tonight.

Has Darvish ever pitched in relief? I have no idea if his warmup routine is compatible with relief pitching. I know it's an "all hands on deck" situation but if you want to give yourself a chance, putting a guy in a position he's never been in before, in pretty much the most important game of his career, doesn't feel like a good idea.

There is that. But assume that Maeda and Wood can't or at least shouldn't pitch in game 6. Unless Darvish's routine somehow precludes the possibility of pitching in relief, if your options for fourth-inning relief were Darvish and McCarthy, who would you choose?

Morrow, FFS! And it worked!!!

Of course, it was the 5th but I was madly texting with a buddy and we were both gobsmacked that Morrow was the guy.

RE: 2017 MLB Season Thread
There's been a lot of World Series throughout history, so it's hard to say which is the best but this one is headed toward being considered the best of all-time. Only one game was decided by more than 2 runs and that game was tied in the ninth. Back and forth thrillers, pitching duels, clutch hitting, clutch home runs and two evenly matched teams duking it out in a classic.

1 thing that's nice.... this decade now with 4 game 7's in the World Series. Or as many game 7's in the 90's and 00's combined.

10s 4 after tonight
00s 2
90s 2
80s 4
70s 5
60s 6
50s 5
40s 4

Watch the video - it's hilarious. (Tommy calls to Roberts from the hallway outside the press room and he goes back to him, but the whole room can hear Tommy clear as a bell and cracks up.)

Heard on the radio today: Last visiting AL team to win a game 7? A's in 1972. 0-5 since.

Doesn't mean squat.

I can't concentrate.

Only the third time two 100-win teams have gone to Game 7 in the World Series.

Is it 5:20 yet?
