Most fans were fine with what we resigned him for a few years ago. Showed good commitment from the administration, etc, etc. And at the time he was winning (4 straight 9-4 seasons, bowl games). What happened to Hudspeth? His first four seasons, he went 36-16 and 4-0 in bowls. He was on top of the world and being considered for P5 jobs.

Good question. His recruiting has definitely fallen off. Had the recruiting (ACT) scandal; so that cost him some scholarships. Plus he has "missed" on a lot of recruits. Honestly don't think he is a good X's and O's coach. Strong motivator (the first several years), preached being "tougher" than the opposition. But that has fallen off too with the departure of the last strength coach. He is pretty much being viewed as all hype at this point; and the fan base basically given up on him. We give him too many resources to be performing this poorly. Will be a miracle if he makes it through another season in Lafayette. Just my 2 cents.

Only thing I get out of those numbers is that Troy better hope Neil Brown doesn't get caught riding a motorcycle with Volleyball players. That buyout would be hell to pay off for a Sun Belt School.
