Make the trophy a streetcorner sign with Beale and Bourbon on it. Winner gets the top position.

Now THAT is nice. I was about to say, I would rather play up the "City of New Orleans" train rout angle, but your idea is Much better than any of these ^.

I want the trophy to be the Angry Wave.

That guy is just sooooooooooooo stinking cute he's sooooooooooo angry grrr and I'm so happy Tulane is embracing this logo again. It's their logo for ESPN purposes this season and I read where they used it as their midfield logo last week.

So, I'm reading into this that we are definitely in this time. We did it!

The closest thing we have to a rival is Cincy and Houston. Cincy because of history (mostly BBall).

Houston because of having recently played actual games that matter to both programs the last few years.

How many straight years did UAB wipe the floor with us before we finally won again?

I think it went up to 6 or 7. They had that damn QB that never seemed to graduate. What was his name, he owned us, and most of them were DeAngelo years too. Then it was Joe Webb that beat on us for a few years after that

I like Navy becoming a true and real rival, especially with the Millington Naval base to supply fans.

RE: Old Man River Rivalry - Memphis vs Tulane
We no longer have any rivalries. Numerous conferences in 30 years has done that, with teams dropping in and out every other season. Louisville, Southern Miss and UAB are gone. Why we haven't been able to hook onto Cincinnati is a little weird, but we don't play them every year home and home and in football we skip some years.

Anyway, see y'all in the crescent city Friday night!

Houston, Navy, UCF seem to be the closest conference “rivals”

I’d throw in OM, UT, and possibly Arky as regional teams that we could consider rivals.

Darrell Hackney...he definitely crammed 7 years of football into 4 seasons.
