For those interested. I would imagine the AD would make a statement.

RE: GS Presser / Interim Coach
TK is stressing that he is going to do anything he can to find the best person for the job. Not limiting the search to head coaches or coordinators. Also mentioned looking at "our pool" whatever that means. Interim coach Chad Lunsford will have 6 games to prove that he deserves consideration for the job.

RE: GS Presser / Interim Coach
BAD ANSWER: TK is unsure if he will offer the next coach a 4 year contract.

RE: GS Presser / Interim Coach
GOOD ANSWER: TK says he is not looking exclusively at Triple Option coaches and will choose whoever is the best candidate

He says that whoever will become our next coach will walk into a much more financially stable program than we were two years ago.

I think he was speaking about the program in general... but that statement is laughable.

You missed very important statements:

TK paraphrased "a current HC has a staff in place and can hit the ground running in Dec" and "Continuity in coaching is big"

He hit up the Dec recruiting period a lot. Honestly weird I really never thought of it. It is the reason Tyson was let go now as he said.

It will be a HC if I am a betting man.

He did not say financial specifically but why not? We did not really suffer until this year in the stands. We are about to get about 2M bump without lifting a finger with the merge as well.

You dont fire a HC without know you can pay the next guy and he stated we can pay more than Tyson. I would imagine we can go up to 700K with performance bonuses for a Houston type.

Why a bad answer? He basically said whoever the next HC is will determine what he offers regarding length of the contract will be. IMO that means if he has to offer more to get a slam dunk winner, he will.

I doubt very seriously that many HC's gets less than four years anywhere, anymore.

Why do you say that? Our budget is higher than it has ever been.

I seriously doubting that we get a huge increase off of this merger with Armstrong.....remember the BoR's limited the amount of athletic funding that comes off of student fees. If I recall correctly.

That pretty much narrows it down to Houston and Bohannon IMO.

Simple math multiply the fee by the number of students. 7000 to 8000 more students paying fees twice a year, they will pay a slightly lesser fee and our budget is in guidelines.
