RE: Gill - does Gill go or stay
As I mentioned before....

I am taking to the bank that GILL will be around through the 2019 season. I can't imagine the situation of a New Coach, New Stadium, New FBS Status, New Schedules...

I think it would be crazy to through into the mix a new captain at the helm in the midst of all this change and shifting. Keeping GILL for the transition years, gives a level of stability which I think is necessary when so much is shifting around the team.

RE: Gill - does Gill go or stay
One advantage is that Gill will have less pressure to win at LU in 2018 and 2019 being entry FBS years. Losses then will be less impactful than after 5+ years where losses will be less tolerated.

Gill - does Gill go or stay
I am enjoying the season one game at a time. I really like Coach Gill. He is doing a marvelous job this season.

So far, after 2 games, no let down. Offense thriving, defense needs tightening. Gill's best coaching so far in the early season.

RE: Gill - does Gill go or stay
After just watching the LU/ISU game, it's time to rate Gill. Two bonehead game decisions. First is to run a very small back on 4th and 1 rather than use steady, big back Mosely. And the obvious second ultra bonehead decision was calling time out near end of game on 4th and 4, which after the timeout ISU converted the first down and matched down the field. As I've praised Gill the first two weeks, he deserves scrutiny for luckily winning today, having the special teams bail him out on the blocked punt.

Gill - does Gill go or stay
As long as Gill wins, runs a clean program, and mentors our young men to be Champions for Christ, he stays.

Just read game report in News Advance. There Gill states defense coach asked for time out and he granted their request. As the HC, Gill's responsible for his coaches actions, although it lessens the poor choice perception from Gill.

On defense, major concern there. It's unrealist to expect the offense to score 40+ points each game. Every with injuries someone or some group has to step up and improve or diaster lurks nearby. When the LU DB failed to cover the receiver that resulted in an easy ISU td.

RE: Gill - does Gill go or stay
It's better to be lucky than good! Calvert threw his first interception and Probert missed his first field goal. That may have been a blessing in disguise as the Sycamores would have needed a touchdown and our defense wasn't stopping anyone. I don't know how our defense is so bad this year. We had most of our starters back from last season. Do we have a new coordinator or are we switching schemes?

I'm okay with Gill calling a timeout on 4th down for his defense. They were bad and likely tired at that point so it made sense to give them a short breather, have everyone on the same page and give the coaches an opportunity to get them ready for the play that would end the game. It didn't work that way but the thought process was sound in my opinion.

I think Liberty should move on.

You think Liberty should move on from Gill? He is leading our team to the best record it had in a decade, beat a P5 school for the first time in history, and we're scoring more points than ever? Did I mention we're undefeated? This is EXACTLY what we've been wanting from Gill since he got here and while other seasons were complete disappointments, we finally are having the type of season we've been desperate for and you want to get rid of him? That's just crazy to me.

There are better coaches who can do the exact same thing. Gill is a terrible coach. He is one of the worst decision makers I have seen in a long time.

He got lucky last night like he got lucky against Gardner Webb last year and Coastal a few years back. Baylor is turning into a dumpster fire and you shouldn't buy into that p5 win. That's like beating Kansas. Nothing special.

He has a few FBS wins and only one playoff appearance in which he got lucky with the block kick against Coastal.

Some people need to come back to earth.

Gill cannot coach. He would chose a dollar over a million if it meant making life difficult. I've said plenty of times we are extremely talented this year. There is no reason for what happened last night. He has been lucky. That will run out this week.

Gill - does Gill go or stay
Well that's not much of a prediction. We are playing one of the best teams in the country who will be heavily favored. We're supposed to lose that one.

Presbyterian beat SFU. Presby%{*]%terian. I told y’all SFU was trash.

Gill is good as gone. Liberty will be lucky to win 3 more games after this I mean PC isn’t even a guarantee win anymore.

The remaining schedule:

vs Kennesaw State - Oct 14 (Sat) | 6:00 PM
at Monmouth - Oct 21 (Sat) | 1:00 PM
at Gardner-Webb - Oct 28 (Sat) | 12:00 PM
vs Duquesne - Nov 4 (Sat) | 3:30 PM
vs Presbyterian - Nov 11 (Sat) | 3:30 PM
at Charleston Southern - Nov 18 (Sat) | 12:00 PM

AM, that's a bold statement, and if I was a betting man, I would give you odds that LU loses one or two games at a minimum. If it's the LU team that played the first 2 weeks, a team that plays that way in all 6 remaining games then maybe, and it's a stretch, they go 6-0. If it's the team that's played the last 2 games, one could expect 3 wins and 3 loses.

I think it is bolder to say Liberty will be lucky to win three more games than it is to say Liberty will go undefeated.

Ok, I'll bite. In LU last 6 remaining games, I'm guessing 4-2. What's your prediction and let's hear from others?
