I shouldn't have been so negative earlier (though it was for something unrelated) and should have had more faith in our Blazers. Good performance against one of the better teams in the league on an important day. Glad I got to see the blocked FG in person

Okay, now that the euphoria of that win has worn off. Can I just ask:

Why in the world, when your RB has rushed for 165 yards (and just ran up the middle for 7 on first down) and you need to kill the clock, do you call a jet sweep? I know it was an option play and Erdley could have handed it off to Brown, but the OC has to take those options off the table at that point...just use our diamond formation and stuff it up the middle. Glad it worked out for us, but I really didn't like what I saw when it came time to kill the clock in a close one...especially with the tools we have at RB.

Just saw replay of the block...I wouldn’t have been shocked if they called a penalty for our sideline running into the field before the play was over

Rushing three and playing coverage is going to get us beat. It didn't happen today. Leaving tired d-linemen in the game who are playing with little energy will get us beat. It didn't today. The old UAB would have lost this game. We won today. If you don't think this team is good, you're not paying attention. They are getting better every week, and that's what good teams do.

No. He has flaws, but i like this guy better than i liked Vincent. Vincent wasn't great. The OC at Jacksonville state is great. Why do you think Vincent was fired.

Because he didn't have any more UAB players left & Joey Jones needed a scapegoat.

The euphoria of that win isn’t going to wear off for me for quite some time.

I like how he finally decided to use misdirection all game. I know we didn't want to go out of bounds, but the play we should have called at the end was to let #1 take the pitch on an end around. Faked it all game, but didn't call it once. That's the part i don't get. We spent all game setting that play up for success and never used it.

One important thing NOT being mentioned is the Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalty called on La Tech after their last TD. That pushed the PAT attempt back and was a factor in the miss.

I believe that Coach Clark will use that as a BIG teaching moment for our guys about how to play with class and not hurt your team.
