It's also worth mentioning again this Paddock's father was on the top 10 FBI's Most Wanted List from 1968 to 1976 and was a bank fugitive who escaped from jail. From reports, Paddock was a loner from childhood and never had any friends. In some sense, he reminds me a bit of the Unabomber - maybe not the academic angle as much but an older person who seems to hate society in general with an estranged family who really doesn't know him at all.

I do like that the people throwing the ideas out are us common folk and the media. Law enforcement is doing the right thing by keeping all information tight-lipped til they can confirm it. I was a bit surprised they ruled out foreign terrorism quickly.

I do wonder what the crowds were at both concerts and if he was trying to take most people out or if the first one was like someone said a dry run.

RE: Mark my words... Las Vegas was ISIS
A Filipino official says Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock traveled at least twice to the Philippines, where his girlfriend was born.

The official said Paddock visited the Philippines in 2013 and 2014, around his birthday, staying for five to six days on both occasions. There were no immediate details available about those trips.

I guess ISIS had been working on him a long time.

Another news story I just saw said Paddock's sisters felt he sent his girlfriend to the Philippines so she wouldn't have been in Las Vegas during the attack, as she would have tried to stop him from carrying it out.

Mark my words... Las Vegas was NOT ISIS.

Exactly, because they are not silencers. They are suppressors. And for those of you wondering what any upstanding citizen needs with a suppressor, it's for hearing protection and comfort on the range. Not to mention less noise pollution in the wild while hunting.

This has turned the entire board into conspiracy theorists. I do find it curious how slowly information is coming out. My God, the media manages to get their hands on every classified document from the Trump investigations, but not a whimper from this? Kinda hard to believe.

Of all the conspiracy theories out there so far, I'm most inclined to believe at least some of his guns were Fast and Furious guns. I'll define "most inclined" as about 3% confidence, but still it's the most likely IMO.

I still have a hard time with how quickly the FBI ruled out terrorism and ISIS links. Since ISIS claimed responsibility without proof, and the FBI hasn't presented any proof that they weren't responsible, it's a 50/50 in my mind.

I was, too, until I found out that his weapons were not full-auto.

ETA: Wow... After doing a quick search, I see that most if not all of the F&F guns were semi-auto and there were in fact ARs involved. Not just AKs.

The most likely solution is what we know right now - single white male, working alone.

Question, how can you bring in that many guns, cameras, etc., in a very tight secured hotel-casino if there wasn't help from somewhere? To claim this guy was mental and acted alone is just crazy. The attack was very sophisticated and well planned. Yes Philippines, as the OP stated, is the sight of a current battle against ISIS groups who are attempting a caliphate. ISIS came out and claimed responsibility. Another thing, he targeted a country music event-who many relate to Trump conservative supporters. Coincidence? Don't think so.

Wait, what? I googled it and it came back with infowars(lol) and the like, could you link that?

I don't know about from ISIS, but antifa has definitely taken up firearms training. Look up John Brown Gun Club.

Also, Steven Crowder proved that just because it isn't being reported in the fake news media, doesn't mean it isn't true. He tried to hand them a story about how antifa was handing out knives and shivs, and planned to lure "fascists" to a car that contained sawed off shotguns and AKs, and they weren't interested.

Lol I love it when you go full nut job.

Is there something wrong with them getting weapons training? Or being a member of a gun club?

"Stephen Crowder proven murder conspiracy foiled by disinterest" lulz

Lugenpresse

Oath keepers picture.

Man oh man are you out there. At least I'm forthright when I troll, I think you might actually be crazy.

no one said that it was wrong to get weapons training or being a member of a gun club, but it does raise some red flags when they are threatening other people, wearing the same color clothing, and even carrying bats. Why do they have to carry bats at a "gun club"? 07-coffee3

This was clearly a false flag operation by the trump administration to distract from Russia and all their other disastrous stories in the news lately.

I could be wrong, but I'm not.

This carries about as much weight as any ISIS or Antifa angle at the present.

But back to reality. If you look at nearly all of these types of terrorist attacks in America's not too distant past, the vast majority of the perpetrators where just your normal white male American acting alone for usually mentally deranged issues. If you're going to draw any conclusions with not much fact, that's the most logical one to draw at this point.

could be....maybe it was just another crazy person like you or me.....

who knows what triggers someone to do shite like this....

IMO, it's just one of dem thingys that you chalk up to the pressure of containing the crazy....

the bottom line is, even if they 'determine' the why, will it change one goddammmed thing in the psyche of the next crazy???.....the answer is NO!

some people simply want to take others out before they commit suicide.....that's all there is to it....

at some point, you have to acknowledge the world we live in.......and if you're not a gun owner, you're dickin' yourself......something you're very familiar with....

Chance the Rapper.. Maybe.. Maybe fake news...

ISIS hasn't done that in the past but if they are indeed weaker and more desperate, they might claim responsibility now for acts they had nothing to do with. That would be a positive for Trump's claims that they are making inroads on getting rid of ISIS, but go ahead and keep trying to prove that Trump is wrong. It only makes my job easier when you do so.

Chance the Rapper and Lorde were the headliners of the Life Is Beautiful festival in Las Vegas (which I think was one week earlier?). Sure that could be wrong, but it's also very, very possible that every other post in this thread is dead wrong too.

WTF does this have to do with "Trump"?

Damn, man. Isn't he in Puerto Rico? Heading to Vegas today?

Holy Schnikey, Trump did this?!?

You're certifiable.

For the love of God, sometimes you make sense and are reasonable. And then other times I can't figure you out.

I am saying that Trump from day 1 has campaigned on being tough on ISIS. He's tweeted and commented many times since becoming president that he is making real progress on wiping ISIS out. In July, his tweet was 'ISIS is on the run & will soon be wiped out of Syria & Iraq.'

If ISIS is now weaker and resorting to Baghad Bob-like dubious claims, then that's a good thing. And Trump deserves credit.

If Paddock is related to ISIS, then that's a bad thing. And we're not making nearly as much progress as reported.

You would think that most right wingers like Rush Limbaugh, and Alex Jones, and people on this forum would prefer the former over the latter. And pretty much everyone on this board for that matter.

Judging by the time he responded to your post, I'm going to go out on a limb and say JM should add an "R" after the"D" in his handle. 05-stirthepot

He's usually cool though.
