I think they are beatable, but I worry about our depth. I'll be doing that all season, though.

Sounds like they respect us, Which is good after seeing Troy Beat Their big Brotha, They ain't gonna be happy. Some how this simulates to this game. The State of La. ain't going to be happy if they lose this one, they ain't evan played Bama yet. Thanks Troy you have lead us into a Game. I would think with their Coach and pretty much beating South Carolina they would think this would be a easy game, We will see, Believe the Blazers and Coaches can make another nut renching game until the end, we are at Home. On a Side note, think Middle would like to have AJ. I'd be practicing Field Goals and punts and run backs, special teams could play the difference. Got to have the leg at the end. Hope those 2 and 3,s are good.

UAB should invite LA Tech's most famous QB - Terry Bradshaw - since Legion Field was the site of his very first college game (back in 1966) as a true freshman starting player. He didn't win but he did scare the home team.

Duck dynasty dude was the starter on that team. And I think Bradshaw has better things to do these days then reminiscing about sitting on the bench against the tide.

Great Idea, Maybe we can get Bradshaw and Karl Molone. But Then I 'll have to get Atris Gilmore out of Dothan. Stan White out of C&M sporting goods Too. Howed Miska do down in the Plains.

My recall is that Robinson (of Duck Dynasty fame) was their QB in 1965 and Bradshaw was the starting QB in 1966. He was supported by a RB who also played in the NFL for a few years. Together they ran and passed the Bama defense ragged for a lot of midfield yardage but only scored once.

They're board talk is pretty boring and depressing. I kinda enjoyed CC and UNT.

Okay.

That should be a second home for you so I'm not sure why you couldn't look it up after corrected, but there you go. I wasn't even alive in 66, but I automatically was able to assume you gave us another unwanted alabama reference on a UAB board.

I'm sure working on excuses in case they lose as well. They are good at that.
1 will be the CUAB Officiating.
2 Will be the stadium falling in on itself.
3. Stadium in bad neighborhood. Their fans afraid to come.
4. Lack of flights between Shreveport and Monroe to Birmingham.
5. No train service
6. No bus service.
7. Someone told their fans he wrong game time and they missed it.
8. Legion Field hot dogs poisoned their team.
9. It's Phil Robertson's fault.
10. Trump's fault.

They didn't need to be scared. Freshmen weren't eligible until 1972 so Tech would have had to forfeit anyway.

OK. So apparently he was a true sophomore, but it was his first college game and he did start as their QB in 1966. And his team's offensive play did scare the home team's fans (many of whom expected a 60+ to 0 rout) and perhaps the home team's coaches as well. My thought was that since Terry remains a national figure in football circles, he might get UAB some additional positive national publicity.

Excuse #1, should we win, will be that the NCAA and C-USA gave us too many advantages when bringing back the program. Book it.
