If we could arrange for 6 consecutive bye weeks we probably make the New Year's Day bowl game.

I think Jeff Huffman cashes in one of his Toledo victory cards with the big man upstairs and we pull off one of the biggest upsets in program history:

Toledo 31
Canes 28

This story is the Hurricanes bringing hope to the city. By time the broadcasters are done, even UT fans are going to feel like cads rooting for their own team. There is no "win" in this game for the Rockets and that's a story.

I do hope the team has time to be a helpful hand while down there. It's a virtual army of people goes with a team to an away game. I'm sure they could be of use, going a day early or staying a day later.

I also think it's a good idea for receivers and running backs to be handling boards with nails and splinters.

NCAA rules state that teams have 48 hours total in a "destination location " Before and after their competitions.

There might be a few other things need being done. 03-wink NCAA has already bent a few rules regards disasters, but you make a point. I imagine the players would vote otherwise but you make a point about your valid perspective.
