Not sure what to make of Texas State. They held Colorado to 2.2 ypc and only gave up modest passing numbers to them. I think their defense will surprise more than a few teams this year.

Yes, but there's also logic that you guys did not play well offensively in the first half against a defense that isn't the greatest.

I fully expected you to put that game away by half the way the first half was going. Not surprised they made it a game when you didn't do that.

TXST has beaten more FBS teams in OOC games than stAte has since joining the Belt in 2013. 4 (USM, Wyoming, Tulsa, and Ohio) compared to 1 (Utah St).

Pretty sure our offense is gonna keep us (AT BEST) below the .500 mark.

But I do think the offense is improving.

I think it's a tight race at the top between four really good teams right now. Troy, NMSU, App, & stAte.

Past that? I think it's pretty close to a crap shoot on where everyone else goes, with South Alabama (Jaguar fans, remind me... USA acceptable?).

The Cajuns looked HORRIBLE against FCS, but looked great against A&M.
Georgia Southern seems... Lost right now, but they are loaded with talent, so you can't ever count them out.
ULM is looking pretty decent, but they don't seem to break through.
Georgia State looks to be suffering from a hangover of the great season last year.
CCU is new... They will struggle, but have the talent to compete.
Idaho? All over the map with them. They are world beaters for three quarters, then 2016 Texas state the last quarter.

What Slycat was driving at is (I think), this league can be taken by anyone this year pretty much. The whole Any given Saturday thing is alive and well.

This was the most demoralizing off-week I can remember in quite a while.
Auburn beat Mercer 24-10. Mercer is a mediocre FCS team.
New Hampshire was beaten soundly by Holy Cross...probably not even a top 50 FCS team.

We are in for a world of hurt going forward.
