I traveled a long way for this game, ashame Memphis couldn't fill their stadium and u wonder why no power five conference. I guess it was to hot. Jamaica Wilkes was seen at the Peabody

Sadly Tiger Football is still a red headed step child in our own town to area SEC schools. Hopefully with another decade of winning we can win the hearts of the next generation of Memphis youth.

There was a lot going on today in Memphis ~~ Cooper Young Festival and a Shell concert ~~ and it was a morning game. Tons of parents with children have sports on Saturday mornings, or family businesses. I don't think the heat was initially a big factor in attendance. And at least, in Midtown and Downtown there is a rapidly-changing demographic of young professionals who come from other places. It will take them time to become participating Tiger fans.

I complain a lot, mainly about basketball when we underachieve.....but I don't understand how some people just look for something to complain about hours after one of the biggest victories in the history of our football program.

With the job Norvell is doing, I see absolutely nothing to complain about when it comes to football.

If we have a great year, I know he's gone and there is literally nothing we can do to keep him

I will thank him and wish him well...unless he goes to Arkansas, UT or Ol Piss

Those 3 are unforgivable for me

I'm saying when we get a big game at our house we need to fill it. U want a power five conference, u got to play them, we did,,we won and it would have been nice to be turning peeps away. No way plenty of seats and new excuses, to early, Cooper festival and whatever else you can think of, this is a good team with a good Coach, support them and good things will happen.
One more thing play a tough ooc schedule

Our stadium is too big for our level

Just the way it is

The only way we we ever sell out is to win 10 games a year, every year

The UCLA fans were a classy bunch. I didn't hear one negative word.

46K was a little disappointed. I was hoping for 50K, but games like this should honestly be a near sellout. The crowd in the stadium was great, and it was one of the most fun games I've seen at the Bowl. Hopefully, more will turn out for the remaining games.

Agreed that the game should have been close to a sellout, and that it's easy for me to say since I live 700 miles north. But for anyone being objective about it, just look around at the many empty seats at many P5 games. Attendance is stagnant or dropping at most programs.

On losing Norvell--I don't think it will happen this year. He's only got two years HC experience. Is that enough for a big program? I could easily be wrong, just hope I'm right.

Tarpe Diem (sic)
Upper portions tarped to 45k would have created a hard sellout.
It's easy and many stadiums, do it.

That was one of the best times I've ever had at any Tiger game! My new neighbors all around me - but especially the old guy on my right - were awesome, I swear he had a crystal ball when it came to the play calling and could see stuff going on down on the field that my eyes couldn't keep up with. The atmosphere was electric and I think the sun was too, my poor g/f is burnt to a crisp.

Go by the head count. We have a VERY LARGE stadium for a non top 5 conference team. If you want to see bad attendance in a large stadium for a pretty good team...check out USF. We had a great crowd considering how far the opposing teams fans had to travel. Now...put us in the SEC and the LB will be filled for every game. It is all relative and many factors need to be considered.

I thought they were all very nice. As the game went on, the fans and I'm guessing the players also, were wilting away to nothing. I was banking on the humidity being a problem for them. They just seemed to more quiet as the game went on. GTG!

My dad said the heat would not be a factor because he went out there once and it was 80 degrees.

In our wins from games I've witnessed only Alabama fans are that classy.

That is good to hear. I can tell you they were not classy at the final 4 in SAn Antonio. Snobby, aloof, condescending.
