Idaho game spread
Spread is -20 in our favor.

Call me crazy but I'd take us and the points without blinking an eye.

Our RB's should have a day if we stick to our guns and pound them. Give Wassink some high percentage throws and get his confidence going.

We need to come out with a chip on our shoulders.

I'd take Idaho with 20pts in a heart beat... we are one dimensional and haven't shown anything other in two straight weeks... I think this game is gonna be a struggle...

Same.

Our only shot is Idaho is worse than we are.

WMU is going to destroy Idaho, and you can take that to the bank.

I wouldn't have money to bet after last game.

Okay. I will challenge that to the bank. 20pts is way too Yuge. I say we win by up to 14, max. Maybe 17 if we're lucky. But I would not bet on us breaking the spread (3TD+).

Um, do you guys realize how bad Idaho is?

As frustrated as we are right now, we still took #4 USC wire to wire until the final minutes, and lost to a good MSU team on the road 28-14.

It's... Idaho.

Idaho got wrecked by 30 points, at home, to a mediocre UNLV team.

You think they're gonna travel halfway across the country and compete in Waldo?

UNLV ran for 357 yards at 7.1 YPC!!! What do you think our backs are going to do?

Gun to my head I probably take WMU and the points. Wouldn't willingly touch that.

Ida-what? Ho-kay...! :)

We'll run pretty well. Not saying we're going to lose. I think UNLV's better than the team that lost to Howard (while Kent State didn't), and I think Idaho's better than how they were against UNLV. UNLV still passed the ball decently well (10/16; 193 yards; 1TD-1INT) though too.

I expect us to win at home. Winning by 21 is pushing it, IMO. Could happen though. I hope after giving up all those rushing yards, they basically do what MSU did -- force us to pass, but this time Wassink and our WRs Connect.

1. Idaho's front 7 isn't going to be able to "force us to pass".

2. Even if they do, you'd have to be drunk to think it'll go anything like USC and MSU.

Up until this past Saturday, Idaho had won six in a row and looked darn good last year doing it.

I'm not sure what to expect this game, or the rest of the way. This has been a tough start, and a game like we just had may have an impact on the players. And I must admit, my confidence in Lester and staff has been shaken.

That was D1 Idaho. This is FCS Idaho.

Team has lost a lot, which has been quite obvious in the first couple games.

No excuses for us not to dominate this game.

Short of an outright win, couldn't have asked for a better Week 1.

I think based on that better-than-expected performance and a perception of MSU being more "vulnerable" than usual, our expectations were a lot higher entering Week 2.

Entering the season, who woulda thought that USC would've been down to the wire and MSU the big clunker?

As far as the team's mentality, I think (hope) we come out with some fire and something to prove vs Idaho. If a stinker at a local P5 is all it takes to bring down the team, then cancel the date with Harbaugh next year.

I was worried about that MSU game before the season just based on its place in the schedule... Its hard for any team to travel that far from home and follow it up with yet another road game the following week... I expected more out of our Bronco's but looking back the trip to USC didn't do us any favors with our MSU game within a week of the return trip...

It can take an entire day alone to get your body back hydrated after a game in that heat too... Great opportunity for the team but likely contributed more than we anticipated with regard to our energy and preparation level going into the MSU game...

We should handle Idaho at home... Might take a half to get the machine working well but my guess is we win by 14.... If we squeak one out or god forbid lose its gonna be a LONG season... We should be rolling into that BSU game with a MUCH improved passing attack... but honestly it is SO bad right now it may take an entire year to remedy... I imagine that Johns is re-tooling some of the routes to make it easier on Wassink and the OL... some more quick strike 5-8 yd routes and hopefully some screens and sweeps to get Eskridge some touches in space so he can use his shifty speed to gain yards...

RE: Idaho game spread
In a way, MSU 2017 reminds me a little of Georgia Southern 2015.

Week 2, following an "event" game against a Top 5 opponent that players and fans waited all summer to play. And in that Week 1 game, we made it closer than anticipated and got some good press for it. Also a possibility that MSU 2017 (past season issues) and GSU 2015 (no-name SunBelt) were taken a bit too lightly.

I know the dynamics are different. But it has that 'wow, look how we stood tall in Week 1 against a Goliath, and then looked out of sorts in Week 2' feel.

RE: Idaho game spread
I think the Broncos will dominate in this game against Idaho. I think they will easily cover the spread as long as they can get some pressure on Idaho's 5th year senior starting quarterback.

I'm thinking 45-17.
