Lol UCF beats a team that barely beat Alcorn State and now they are top of the conference. My god I wish that game wasn't cancelled or is made up.

I gave him a pass. Life must be tough as a Tulane/Jags fan.

You guys let ULM hang 425 yards on your defense. FIU wasn't good but we destroyed them. We could have hung 80 on them if we wanted. Ferguson will need to learn how to throw a ball soon. Maybe he can complete 45% next game.07-coffee3

Riley Ferguson had 3,698 yards on 280-of-443 passing with 32 TD and 10 interceptions last year. Stop drinking Orlando tap water now.

This feels right to me. I think 1-6 and 7-10 are pretty tight groupings though. Need more data points. But this at least reflects a perspective of someone who has actually watched these teams on the field.

Worry about GT. They something a little more daunting than FIU

Ponies have looked sharp against very weak opponents. If they perform well against TCU and Ark-State, the rankings will change.

RE: Rankings Week 2
1. Houston - Defeated PAC-12 team
2. UCF - Clobbered FBS opponent with AAC Offensive Player of the Week
3. SMU - Has looked great so far with b2b 50+ pt games
4. Navy - Great win against FAU and a much-improved Tulane
5. South Florida - Need to see more than game tied 4th Q against FCS
6. Memphis - Underwhelming game against ULM plus defensive starter injuries
7. Tulane - A FG away from 2-0 makes Tulane a team to watch
8. Cincy - Solid defense may make UC bowl eligible but offense needs work
9. Tulsa - Offense came alive against ULL but defense still needs work
10. Temple - So far averaging just 16 pts a game
11. UConn - Need to see more than Holy Cross win
12. East Carolina - Only winless team in AAC

I thought about it, and I really can't rank anyone right now outside of Houston at #1 because they're the only ones who have done anything worth a damn and ECU because of:

The rest of us have combined to beat a bunch of riffraff. Margin of victory tells us little in these games.

I have absolutely nothing against Houston. I like the rivalry we are starting to build. But did you watch the game? Houston wasn't sharp, and AZ is just bad. They won 3 games last year, iirc.

Nobody in this league has been really impressive so far, and the level of competition hasn't been good, for the most part (with some obvious exceptions that we lost).

I did watch the game. Yes, Arizona sucks... probably an 8 loss team this year. It's so early in the season and with so many cancelled games, that's all we have to go off of right now. Things will clear up in a few weeks.

Beating a bad Arizona team equal beating someone worth a damn? I guess since they are P5........

Sorry we only beat Arizona on the road by 3. Wish we could have been as impressive as holding of those pesky whatever their mascot name is from Louisiana at Monroe.

Dude it was Arizona, come on lol. They wouldn't finish in the top 4 in the AAC this year. This is like when UC beat Purdue last year. Yes they are B1G, but nobody really thought it was a huge win. Purdue football has been hot garbage (they are actually better this year, but that's beside the point).
